Q: Has anyone tried making non-dairy ice cream with this?

submitted by Great curtains - 1 year ago
  • A: Yes. I have to use regular canned coconut milk because it's thick & the ice cream will get thick.

submitted byGoochie - 1 year ago
  • A: Yes I made pineapple sherbet. It came out great.

    submitted byAna A - 4 months ago
  • A: Hello, Yes, you are able to make non dairy ice cream in the ICE-21P1.

Q: Why is my ice cream texture like soup even after 30+ minutes of having it on? Left the bowl in the freezer overnight and we have tried it twice and both times the texture is runny like soup.

submitted by Kiki - 1 year ago
  • A: What ingredients are you using? You have to use heavy cream. You can't use regular milk or almond milk. It's not thick enough. That's why its not thick, if that's what you're using.

submitted by Mamabear - 1 month ago
  • A: Yes, the Cuisinart Mix It In Soft Serve Ice Cream Maker (ICE-48) is specifically designed to make soft-serve, yogurt, sorbet, and gelato in about 20–30 minutes. It features a dispensing handle, topping containers, and produces a creamy, soft-serve consistency directly into bowls or cones.

    ICE-20

Made two batches of ice cream so far. The unit is a little noisy, but never bogged down while making the ice cream. My freezer is at -5 degrees, so the ice cream was finished in just about 15 minutes. Great ice cream, no crystals, and no weird ingredients. Just milk, cream, sugar, and vanilla (and a pinch of salt).

    Wonderful ice cream maker

This is a wonderful, simple ice cream maker compared with the old units that needed use and rock salt. Just place the container in the deep freezer, mix the ingredients and turn it on. There are literally three parts besides the motor base, so nothing to go wrong. Our first 3 batches of dark chocolate, homegrown strawberry, and vanilla were wonderful and we know exactly what ingredients are included, unlike the “ice cream” you buy at the store with the scary ingredient list.

    Ice cream maker

The Cuisinart ice cream maker is sooo easy to use! As someone with food allergies, I find that I can't eat most brands of ice cream. With this appliance, I can make high-quality ice cream (no corn syrup!!!) in a snap.

    Ice cream maker

We are loving our new Cuisinart ice cream maker. Will never buy ice cream again. One caution, don't overfill. If machine is straining towards the end, turn it off. Some recipes don't take as long as others.

    Gets the job done

When it churns I notice the contents of the bowl get pushed upward and accumulate in the center around the white plastic piece that rotates, not touching the sides anymore after a while, does stopping the cooling process. The end results is more a soft serve ice cream. It still satisfies the "cold treat" need, but I would not call it ice cream consistency,

Thank you for sharing your experience with your Cuisinart ice cream maker. Some recipes or ingredient ratios can affect the final texture, and we recommend consulting the user manual for tips on achieving a firmer consistency. We appreciate your feedback and are glad it still provided a satisfying cold treat!

    Froyo just like Yogurtland!

I bought this machine because I wanted to have frozen treats without all the bad ingredients. I am happy with it. It makes great frozen yogurt, just like Yogurtland’s original tart flavor. And I know what ingredients are going into it, making it a much healthier alternative to store-bought ice cream. It’s easy to use and clean. Makes ice cream and frozen yogurt in under twenty minutes. I will be using this machine regularly.

‘Ice cream purists’ will want this

This will make the best ice cream or sorbet desserts. I purchased it specifically to make keto balanced ice cream. It works beautifully. I use a great keto vanilla base and add various flavors. Each ice cream batch has turned out exceedingly well. You can control your ingredients to your liking. Also it’s a lot of fun to experiment!

    Love this compact machine!

The machine and bowl are compact, but it easily makes a quart of ice cream. The feeder makes it easy to add ingredients. Next I'm going to try to make frozen yogurt.

Machine is very easy to use. There are only four parts. One stays in the freezer. Just pour in the batter and hit the 'On' button. 20-25 minutes later you have ice cream.

    Paddle broke in first use

The paddle broke in the first use. The paddle didn’t make it through one churn before it snapped. Freezer bowl seems to work well, but now I have to either get a new paddle or return the machine.

Please contact our Consumer Assistance Center at 1-800-726-0190 TICKET#8900542213 so our team can assist with a replacement paddle or guide you through next steps.
