Peace of mind
Absolutely love this! Gives me peace of mind when she sleeps and other times too. Only wish it was portable for long trips to insure that she is breathing safely in the car.

Difficulty Getting Readings
We had the old owlet for our first two kids and purchased a new one because that one wasn’t holding a charge (understandable after 5 years). This one goes off CONSTANTLY telling us that it can’t get a reading. I have to turn the base off when I feed her because otherwise it goes off multiple times. We’ve also had several low oxygen alerts without symptoms, but I’m unable to say for sure if they’re bad readings or not. Seems this one does not work as well as our original one did.

Socks sole purpose to tell you when not perfectly on foot
This $300 sock alerts you when it's not directly on the foot. This appears to be it's primary and sole function.

Lost WiFi and had to reconnect. App doesn’t reconnect to the camera. Support just tells you check your WiFi and tells you to go through the process about 100 times before it tells you to connect a live support. They don’t do anything for the issues either. When it was connected it was great with a few issues with the connections but since this last power outage it has been horrible to reconnect the device. Not worth the money

Wouldnt buy again
Very frequent connection issues. When it works it’s an amazing product. The customer service is terrible and they keep going round and round asking you to take screen shots of different parts of your app. You never really get to a solution. I gave up and moved on. If I could go back I wouldn’t spend the money

Would be amazing if it worked all the time
When this thing will stay connected to my WiFi it’s 100% worth the cost, however it loses WiFi connection at least once a night and sometimes doesn’t regain it. I like it for monitoring oxygen saturation when my infant is ill, however when WiFi is out I can’t get any data. If the WiFi issue was resolved and it always connected I would give it 5 stars and would recommend to anyone who is interested in tracking health data for their baby, especially during cold and flu season

Biggest Regret
First time parents, don’t buy this. It will make you more anxious when your mental health is already not well postpartum. And caused unnecessary ER visits and bills. Just don’t buy this.

Eases my anxiety
Easy to set up, long lasting battery, not hard to use. As a first time mom I worry about my baby at night but the owlet allows me to sleep peacefully

works great as long as the base and baby are in the same room. do wish they would improve the distance it works at from sock to base. the app tells you based on readings if baby is awake/ light sleep / deep sleep. not perfectly accurate on that part, but that’s not my main purpose in having the sock so that’s not insanely important to me. it has given me so much peace of mind. as long as you’re making sure the sock is flush to the foot there’s no false alarms from my experience. easy to set up. not had any issues with burns from sensor, i switch the sock from left foot to right foot each night and only use when i’m asleep to prevent that from happening. seriously don’t know what id do without it, would buy again in a heartbeat. don’t let negative reviews deter you from purchasing, read up on owlet warranties and buy the extended insurance if you’re worried!!

Overpriced
I've had so many issues with this thing for a $300 product, I expect it to not have issues reading when I cover my child's foot with my torso... also the fact that it doesn't pick up whatsoever while they are wiggling? my baby moves about 79% of the time so this feels slightly useless. also, you can't get a reading on the app when you're traveling unless you use a hotspot and plug it into a portable charger... seriously. not worth $300. just go-to marketplace and find one someone's selling for under $200-$100. they are actually all over the place.

Impossible to connect to and an infuriating buggy app
My husband and I have been trying to set the owlet up for nearly 2 hours on both our phones and neither of us have been able to find the base station. We’ve tried both Bluetooth and WiFi, making sure to be on our 2.5 GHz WiFi, and nothing worked. We tried using the chat function but the bot concluded was that it couldn’t help us and told us we’d receive an email in 2-5 business days. We bought the dream sock as our daughter is sick, so waiting this long makes the sock redundant to us. The app is buggy, multiple buttons don’t work meaning you need to exit the app and restart the process a million times in hopes the next button will work for you. Considering the price tag of this product, I’d expect better.

Buy direct not from target
Do not buy this from target. I purchased it here and then it broke 10 months later (within the manufacturer warranty) however owlet will not warranty it since they say I was activated in their system 10 months before. So target will sell you a used product as “new” and then if something happens to it target or owlet will not help you. You are better off buying it directly through owlet so you don’t have this issue. Don’t trust target

Great when it actually works
This sock is so frustrating at times. It’s great when it actually works but here lately it’s constantly beeping, saying either sock placement issue or sock connection lost. I’ve had to reconnect it to WiFi a couple of times now. My son was in the NICU so I like to have peace of mind at night and when it works I do but in all honesty nine times out of ten it’s just a headache. I’ve been using it since September and for the price I expected better.

Expensive but doesn't work long term
Love the owlet, but this isn’t a product made to last. This is the 3rd one I’ve purchased. The first one in 2019 with my first baby. Used it for 18mo?, put it in storage, it didn’t work when we set up with baby #2 (2021) so we bought a new one. Used that for about 18mo again, put it in storage, THAT one didn’t work when we set it up with baby #3 (2024). Bought this one now that I’m reviewing, it’s doing the same thing as the other two- ‘sock placement issue’ alarm keeps going off. It won’t connect the base and sock. We have been continuously using it since Sept 2024 and suddenly started having this issue. Owlet only offers a 1yr warranty so nothing can be done. Just blows my mind how expensive this is and it isnt a high quality product.

Grwat when it actually works.
This is a great product, when it actually works. It seemed to work ok the first few times but maybe a week in every single time I would put it on my newborn it would start beeping that the placement was wrong, even though my newborn wasn’t moving at all. Not to mention how frustrating it is when it takes you a while to put your baby to sleep and then it starts beeping for no reason. I gave it several chances until I was fed up and returned it. Also, you pay $300 and it didn’t even include the subscription which is an additional $10 a month if you want to see all the data.

Reviewer
Unfortunately I can’t give this a good review. I’ve tried using it for 5 consecutive nights, and have only been able to get it to work once. It continues to say it’s lost connection despite being right next to the plug and being charged. It also beeps incessantly when it doesn’t work and does not have any trouble shooting feedback so it just keeps beeping unless I shut down the entire device. I’ve also called the help line. Given the price point of this device, I’m disappointed. I’ll keep trying another night or 2 and then return it if it still won’t work. I gave 3 stars because I imagine it’s a good product if it actually works.

Target is selling Items used. Got this sock late at night ready to use it for my baby. When I opened the package I realized that the sensor part was extremely dirty and smelled like medicine.
