BLACK+DECKER Ultrasonic Humidifier 1.45 Gallon with 360 Mist Outlet and Remote, White

I bought one of these because I trusted the brand. It was a replacement for another humidifier that got broken. When I set this one up and set the humidity level, it ran for about one minute then stopped. The humidistat read a bit high. I tried compensating by setting a higher humidity value, but it would still only run for a moment then stop. When turned all the way up to 70%, it still remained off. My thermostat is 10 feet away and it read a humidity value of 38%. I assumed the humidistat was faulty, so I returned it and ordered another. The second one worked exactly the same. I had it on for several days with the humidistat set at 70%. It would puff a little moisture once or twice a day and then stop. One is an anomoly; two is a trend. These units are faulty, so don't waste your money. If you want a humidifier that is either off or on, buy a cheap $20 model. I used to buy this brand all the time. It's sad to see something so poor from such a prestigious company.
