    Does the job for a fraction of the price

    It’s imo the best dish detergent out there. It’s cheap, it cleans and doesn’t have the coating and obnoxious smell of a dish pod. It’s also much easier to get the right dosage per load. Better than the name brand powder as well. Only downside is the flimsy metal spout, fails every time but a minor inconvenience.

    Great powdered dishwasher detergent!

    My dishwasher has lasted a really long time and it’s because I use generic powder detergent. Ditch the pods people- I had a repairman tell me this (fixing door springs from dog standing on it licking the last of the goodies).

    It makes your dishes clean

    It's dishwasher detergent, in powder form. Helps with prewash better than tablets which only let you put detergent in during the main wash. I don't get why so few stores have this stuff, but I am happy to see Target has it at a good price. P.S. If it's leaving a film, you're using too much. Try filling the dose cup only about halfway, not to the brim. A little can go a long way!

    Cleans Just As Good as Pods

    If you’ve seen that Technology Connections video, you’ll know that powder is probably the best option for dishwashers. I used this on my new KitchenAid washer and the dishes came out perfect. I always use rinse aid (and so should you) and my dishes came out spotless on ceramics, glass, plastic, and my metal utensils. Get the dose right, A little goes a long way, I found 1tbsp to 1.5 tbsp is perfect for my dishwasher and hard water. I’ve also used Finish Ultimate pods and could not tell a difference between those and this powder. I can’t really smell any lemon scent, it just smells like that dishwasher “fresh” smell when I open it up. For $5 it’s really hard to beat, give it try!

    Clogged my dishwasher

    I chose to switch to powder for my dishwasher detergent after reading that the dissolvable casing on detergent pods are a leading cause for dishwasher clogs (I have never had a clogged dishwasher from that, but thought it couldn’t hurt to be preventive). About halfway through my box of detergent powder, I notice some debris being left on my dishes, but that maybe I wasn’t rinsing my dishes well before loading them into the washer. But I am not almost at the end of my powder detergent box and my dishwasher is clogged with a greasy/waxy white crud that basically looks like undissolved detergent powder. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, but am switching back to pods.
