Good detergent!
Love this detergent. I do not use it in my dishwasher but it's used in bb mh house to clean floors, sink toilets etc. Soak them overnight & everything comes sparkling clean!

Works fine, even well.
Great stuff. I like being able to add more or less depending on the load size. This is one of the few non-plastic options in the store. Works fine.

Clogged my dishwasher
I chose to switch to powder for my dishwasher detergent after reading that the dissolvable casing on detergent pods are a leading cause for dishwasher clogs (I have never had a clogged dishwasher from that, but thought it couldn’t hurt to be preventive). About halfway through my box of detergent powder, I notice some debris being left on my dishes, but that maybe I wasn’t rinsing my dishes well before loading them into the washer. But I am not almost at the end of my powder detergent box and my dishwasher is clogged with a greasy/waxy white crud that basically looks like undissolved detergent powder. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, but am switching back to pods.

Works Great
This is my go to dishwasher detergent. It cleans dried on food well, doesn't leave a residue behind and is priced right. Please don't change the formula Target!

Didn't dissolve completely
Left a residue and didn't dissolve completely. I've never had this issue with any other detergent, liquid or powder.

White Residue
Doesn't dissolve completely. Even with high temperature cycle it leaves a powdery residue on some dishes.

Favorite Product
This is my favorite detergent and doesn't have the plastic from the pods that gunk up the dishwasher. Love this product, but can't find it in stores anymore.

Good Detergent, Needs 'Help' With Hard Water
This stuff works pretty well, and as people have stated is much more cost-effective than pods. If you have hard water, you may have to use something like citric acid, to prevent film forming on dishes, but even adding that into the cost is still WAY cheaper than pods.

Terrible
Doesn’t dissolve. Clean dishes are coated in dry dish powder so I get to rinse them again after they have been washed!

No more expensive pods!
Surprisingly great, especially after I found my dishwasher’s manual online and got a better understanding of its cycles and detergent instructions (I’m a renter, my landlords have never left the manuals, I finally got curious about it lol don’t judge me) Some notes: - If I leave dishes overnight before running the dishwasher, they still come out perfectly clean but only if I use the heavy duty cycle. Heavy duty is safe for all dishes, it just means heavy soil, not like on clothes washers that go ham on your clothes with the agitator if you select that. - if you have super hard water, filling the detergent compartment to the top won’t be enough to clean. If you have super soft water, filling it to the top will leave residue everywhere and scratch your glasses up. I have very hard water so I followed the water hardness instruction chart in the manual, which said I should fill to the top plus add a little extra on the indentation on the compartment lid after closing it (turns out that’s an intentional design for properly measuring ‘prewash’ lol, who knew. It just falls to the bottom of the dishwasher when you close the door.) I had a tiny bit of residue so I’ve very slightly reduced the amount inside the compartment, and bam! Perfect clean! - you may be able to adjust the amount of rinse aid that comes out. On my unit this is done by rotating the plastic bit where you pour it in. I turned mine all the way up to deal with the hard water. - non-manual related tip for others with hard water, I sprinkle some borax over the detergent when I have super heavily soiled dishes. It acts as a water softener. Following these guidelines, I get perfectly clean dishes, utensils, and cookware every single time without needing to pre-rinse in the sink, just the standard scraping of solids. I’m never ever wasting money on pods again. I hope these tips can help some others too! I’ve got a low-end GE model but a lot of this is standard to most machines

Harmful ingredients
I don’t like that they use synthetic copolymers which are essentially a form of micro plastics and get flushed into our waterways. Seventh generation does not use this in their detergent and uses plant-based cleaners which are just as effective at cleaning our dishes. For the price difference, I would not buy this target brand And have better peace of mind and I’m not harming my family or nature with long term use.

powder > pods
way more cost effective than detergent pods. those rely only on marketing to sell, and so they jack up the price big time. these work just as well if not better for WAY cheaper.

Better than Cascade
I’ve been using this for a while now and am really pleased with it. It works just as well as, if not better than, Cascade. Don’t use too much! I halfway fill both the main detergent compartment and the prewash compartment. I haven’t had any issues with the packaging. Best of all, the fragrance is waaaaay less strong than Cascade. My silicone utensils & plastic lids smell more neutral now that I switched to this. Can’t beat it for the price!
