Damages Type 4 Hair

My hair has been severely damaged by Goddess Strength. It completely dried my hair out, broke off my ends, and caused hair loss. I have never experienced anything like this in my life. It did not moisturize, it did not detangle, and I regret ever putting this in my hair. Absolutely shocked. I am 4C and would NOT recommend using Goddess Strength for this hair type - completely devastated.

CAROL'S DAUGHTER- FOREVER CUSTOMER

This is the best shampoo because it easily detangles my natural 4C as soon as I apply. It smells great and not overpowering. I've tried several hair products that smell nice (ex: Mielle and others) but lack performance. Every time I think a different brand will work, I always end up back with Carol's Daughter and regret trying something new. All of the products for the brand work! I am their customer for life!

Flaky scalp, build up, awful texture

After a few weeks of using the shampoo & conditioner, I’m sad to report that it didn’t work for me. My hair feels like straw, with chalky residue on the strands, and my scalp is constantly flaking. If you’re concerned about hair loss like me, I’d also warn that my hair fall has increased significantly while I shower. Though my hair still appears shiny and lively from afar, it has thinned and my scalp is an absolute itchy mess. I’m so disappointed that I wasted money on this, but hoping I remain the minority that has poor results from these products. Only good things I can say is that it smells nice and lathers well.

Awesome shampoo/conditioner

I purchased this, knowing nothing about the product, and found myself to be delighted! It smells great, it suds up like crazy (so I don’t need to use as much of it), and my hair is so soft after I’m finished! I don’t normally write many reviews, but this one absolutely called for it! Good job, guys…

Hair fell out

My hair slowly fell out over three months, so I had to shave it all off. I even got a referral for a dermatologist. It is just now that I realize that this was the only difference once I started reading all of these reviews after I just washed my hair, and it's coming out in the towel again

My Color-Treated Type 4 Hair Loves This Shampoo!

Currently using on my color-treated hair. Two wash days down and I think I have found my new favorite shampoo. The lather is great, the scent is nice and LIGHT, and it’s a moisturizing shampoo. My hair feels clean, but not stripped.

Dry, itchy, flaky scalp.

Formula change? I have used this for a solid year and my hair was so happy and healthy- until now. Im now dealing with severe dry scalp and dandruff. Ive never experienced this in my life. My ends are so crispy now as well. I stopped using this a few weeks ago and have noticed an improvement in my scalp already!

Mature Locs

I’m a male and I used this shampoo and conditioner on my locs over a year. What I noticed is that it is not strong enough to break down build up at the scalp. I would wash my hair thoroughly and while moisturizing I would still see build up on my scalp. I concluded that it more than likely wasn’t cleansing my locs well enough either so I switched to head n shoulders. I didn’t notice any significant loc moisturizing either. Not to say it didn’t help my locs- I just didn’t notice much of a difference. I still use the leave-in conditioners though. It’s hard to find products for locs in general.

drying and damaging for wavy hair

We use this shampoo and conditioner at the hospital for curly hair. I have wavy hair and use curly products for extra hydration. It smells amazing, but I feel like it leaves build up and weighs my hair down. My hair got really dry using these products and I’m not the biggest fan. It may just not be for me

HUGE trigger for sensitive skin

This product thinned and dried my hair. I switched from Rosemary shampoo to this thinking it would also strengthen and thicken and no, my hair is more frail and falling in big amounts since using this, the opposite of what is advertised. Feels like postpartum head all over again.

Can’t lie , i literally NEVER leave reviews but i have the shampoo and conditioner and it leaves my hair so soft . I’m very tender headed and it’s annoying . I dread wash days but this shampoo makes it so much easier to manage .

softening

It leaves my hair kinda soft after rinsing it off, which i’ve never experienced in a shampoo before! It’s not like other shampoos that leave your hair squeaky clean and painfully dry.

Glad I only had a sample...

With one wash I did notice my hair felt softer and it combed thru easier, but the scent is awful. I kept trying to pin down what it reminded me of, and truthfully it reminded me of driving around in my grandfather’s smoke filled car. I thankfully have some other product I can use to try to mask that, but I don’t think I’d use this one again simply for that smell. If that doesn’t bother you, it does do the job of at least helping to comb through and style curly normally frizzy hair.
