The Amazon Fire TV Stick HD connects directly to your TV's HDMI input and works independently through a WiFi network connection. Q: How do I install this device to my TV
A: Hi Penelope, thanks for reaching out about the Amazon Fire TV Stick HD (2024) Connect the Fire TV Stick to Your TV's HDMI Port: Plug the Fire TV Stick directly into an available HDMI port on your TV. Using the HDMI Extender (Recommended): If the HDMI ports on your TV are close together, or if the Fire TV Stick doesn't have enough clearance, use the included HDMI extender cable. This can also help improve Wi-Fi reception and remote performance by moving the Stick slightly away from the back of the TV. Plug one end of the extender into the Fire TV Stick and the other end into the TV's HDMI port. Turn On Your TV and Select the Correct HDMI Input: Use your TV's remote control (not the Fire TV remote yet) to select the correct HDMI input channel. This is usually labeled "Input," "Source," or with an icon like an arrow going into a rectangle. Cycle through the options (e.g., HDMI 1, HDMI 2, HDMI 3) until you see the Fire TV Stick loading screen. It might say "Fire TV" or show a logo. Q: Can you use the Fire stick on a smart tv with roku on it?
