Easy to use

I have tried other discs and this one is sturdy, easy to remove and has a large capacity. Leaks are never an issue if properly positioned and maintained. I am so glad to have this while I go through my menstrual cycle. Highly recommend.

Freedom during periods with prolapse

This disc (small size) is everything I was hoping for! After struggling with prolapse (stage 2 recotele) pain during my period for over a year, I was able to use this disc and get the relief I'd been looking for. The mess of pads is gone and tampons aren't an option for me. I do use a disc pessary and this is slightly smaller in diameter than what I use. I had slight discomfort after insertion on day 1, but then my body adjusted after a few hours. Super easy to remove and clean every 12 hours. Highly recommend trying if you have prolapse and are seeking a solution!

Absolutely life changing!!!

This disc has literally changed my life! I will be telling everyone I know that they NEED one of these. I have gone from bleeding through tampons, period undies and onto sheets and now I wake up DRY. When I say you need one of these I really truly mean it!

Never using tampons again!

I have awful, heavy, painful periods. They are such a hassle and so difficult to manage. Pads feel gross and tampons make my cramps worse- as well as whatever chemicals they put in them. Even with my crazy heavy periods, I don't leak!! I love being able to put in the disc without worrying about bleeding through and also not having to think about the bleeding. My Saalt Disc makes my periods soooo much better.

Financial and Physical Freedom

I tried a disc for the first time in senior year of college ~5 years ago after having mild success with the cup, and I haven't bought a single pad or tampon since! Definitely worth the investment financially - no more worrying whether I have enough products stocked in the house or to cover my period while I travel. I just make sure I've got my disc in my bag and I'm ready to go. It does take a few tries to find the right spot to set it and to remove it without making a mess, but once you get the hang of it, I found it easier and less painful to use than a tampon, and no more worrying about my pad coming unstuck from my underwear or feeling self-conscious that everyone could see it. Minimal financial burden, minimal intrusion into my day to day life, and minimal mental load. I wish I could give this to little 12 year old me; it would have saved me a lot of stress and dread about dealing with a period for the next 40 years!

Great but has a tendency to get stuck

I’m overall really happy with this disc and think it’s a way better alternative to tampons, however I do have a bit of trouble getting it out. I find I’m not able to use the finger indent to pull it out and have to hook my finger fully around the rim to pull it out, which gets pretty messy. Could just be my anatomy but if it’s your first time trying a disc I’d recommend looking for something with a pull tab or string.

What on earth

I've only just used mine for the first time this cycle, but every time I went to the bathroom, my responses were of pure shock. I didn't know a disc was supposed to be this good. Besides feeling it more than my last disc (different brand, but that's because this rim is more firm), I had Z E R O leaks. None. Even after peeing, it somehow put itself back into position / never really came out (like my last one), and I could carry on with zero concern of it 'slipping out'. Genuinely, I'm speechless from it. I used it during a full nights sleep, and nearly a full 12 hours on my heavy day. Not a single issue. By far my easiest period I've had in years because of this disc. You'd think I was a paid spokesperson from this review haha but honestly, this is unreal.

figuring it out

i'm a long time re-usable period product user - cups, discs, i've tried a bunch. my last disc was a big improvement over the cup i was using previously but it started to betray me and leak here and there. so i thought i'd check out a new brand. i was very excited to try this new disc - the little finger pull seemed like a great feature and the rim felt sturdier than my last disc. i'm not new to inserting these but found placement difficult at first. tried a handful of times and had to give up and use a tampon. was quickly reminded of why i hate tampons so came back home to give the saalt another go. second try was a breeze! i have no idea what the difference was but it found its way into the correct position (it feels like it sits higher than my previous disc) and it was like i wasn't on my heaviest day at all! comfortable and secure and excellent. i find the finger pull a little hard to get used to and the removal a bit messier than other discs, but like i said, while its doing its most important job, i feel secure and truly not like i'm on my period at all! had my first bathroom, bear down empty and then it came out of place and i had a small leak (at home, w panty liner on so no big deal) but i got it back into place and am loving it again. all this to say, i think the learning curve is a bit steeper with this disc than others but its performance and feel are AH MAZING!!! can't wait to get to know it better and to carry on feeling like i'm not on my period at all.

Difficult to use

It's ok. At first I couldn't get the disc to not leak. Figured out I have to get it waaay up there which is just super messy and difficult to do. And then the disc slips out of place every time I pee, so I have to repeat that process every time I use the bathroom. I don't know if it's a sizing issue or what but it's frustrating. At least when the disc is in it is comfortable. . . .

Great for IUD users!

Had issues with a cup after giving birth and having an IUD placed so I tried the disc and love it! It doesn’t use suction so it’s much more comfortable for me. I have a fairly heavy flow and it lasts almost all day. Leaks a tiny bit but that could just be because I haven’t gotten used to placing it yet. Very comfortable all day during use and removing!

Love this!

I used a cup (not Saalt brand) for years and loved them, but this disc makes cups seem not worth it! I truly did not feel the disc while using it. The way it auto empties when using the bathroom if it’s full is a total game changer. It is so nice to know that I (hopefully) will not have to worry about dealing with period products in public restrooms anymore due to the auto empty aspect and since the disc can be in for up to 12 hours. Insertion was super simple after using a cup for years, and removal was super easy to figure out. I would recommend the disc to anywho who would be comfortable and able to use it!!!

Extremely expensive and didnt work

I was hoping this would work after having two kids the cup wasn’t a good fit, and this was worse. It was impossible to get in and situated properly and it always leaked.

LIFECHANGER

I’m serious if you are thinking about getting on the disc train, do it! I have been using a menstrual cup for ~10 years and have just always dealt with constant leaks (I honestly thought that was part of it) but no ! After the first use of the saalt disc I have 0 leaks, and I'm not exaggerating! Life changer!!! It is soooo worth it and I cannot recommend this over a menstrual cup enough!

s'wonderful

I'm glad that I finally tried saalt's menstrual disc. I've had other brands before when the disc first came readily available and they would never seal quite right or would be extremely difficult to take out and empty. This disc is easy-peasy. I have been using menstrual cups for 8 years now but the disc brings more confidence in the seal for my body.

Saalt Disc

The disc is far superior to tampons! I wish I would have had this in my teens and 20s! It is so nice not to worry about leaking throughout the day/night or running to the store every month or two.

DO IT!

Tiny bit of a learning curve, but once I got it figured out, I couldn't believe how comfortable and worry-free this thing is. I have heavy periods, so I was using super tampons for a long time, then switched to a diva cup. Both still leaked quite often. I was traveling the first cycle I used this, and it was incredible how leak-proof and long lasting the Saalt disc really is. I want to yell from the mountain tops how great this product is. If you've been considering switching, DO IT! What a game changer. This was the first cycle I've had that was pretty much worry-free and ZERO leaks. Also, reducing waste is super rad! 10000000% recommend.

Amazing, best purchase ever.

I am in my 40s, have 3 kids and I have used cups and never really loved them, they shift and leak and sometimes I can feel them. I do have an inverted cervix so it took a little practice putting it in over the cervix. The Saalt disc is so comfortable, I forget it's even there, it never shifts, and no more leaks, I change in the morning, then when I get home after work, every 12 hours, that's it! The finger tab makes it really easy to pull out. Thanks Saalt!
