CeraVe AM Face Moisturizer SPF 30 is an oil-free daily facial moisturizing lotion with SPF 30, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide that offers UV protection, and contains ceramides to help restore the skin's barrier. This CeraVe face moisturizer with sunscreen is a hydrating facial lotion that spreads easily, is absorbed quickly, and leaves a non-greasy finish. Non-comedogenic face sunscreen won't clog pores, so is suitable for all skin types. This CeraVe sunscreen moisturizer features three essential ceramides, hydrating hyaluronic acid and soothing niacinamide, plus patented MVE Delivery Technology to supply much-needed moisture throughout the day. Unlock the pump for first time use by twisting it to the left and pressing down several times until the product comes out. Note: You may actually have to press down on the pump as many as 10-20 times to initially begin dispensing lotion.
Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure

Use a water-resistant sunscreen if swimming or sweating
Children under 6 months of age, ask a doctor

A: The AM has spf in it and as such is less creamy and hydrating for the evening. I recommend buying the PM for bedtime.

A: Yes, absolutely. If I happen to go to the beach I bring along a stronger sunscreen to reapply. Everyday for at least 5 years or more I have religiously used this lotion putting it on once a day before foundation/ concealer. (I also use it on my neck and décolletage). It’s light enough to soak in and not leave greasy residue. The higher spf’s tend to get chalkier so I like this texture a lot. Plus I have oily skin and swear by this stuff. I hope this helps :)

A: My determotolgist suggested once a day is fine, but if I know I'll be in the sun all day to reapply a sunscreen mid day.

A: Hello Delilah! Our AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 30 is formulated to be non-irritating and generally doesn't cause burning in the eyes, even when sweating. However, individual reactions can vary. If sunscreen gets into your eyes, it's always recommended to rinse thoroughly with water. Regarding the white cast, this lotion can sometimes leave a slight white residue, especially if applied too heavily. We suggest starting with a smaller amount and rubbing it in thoroughly. If you still find it too white, we offer other CeraVe sunscreens with different textures and finishes that might be a better fit.

I really love this moisturizer on its own! It keeps my skin hydrated, smooth, and protected thanks to the SPF. It feels lightweight and gentle. However, it doesn’t layer well under makeup it tends to pill a bit so I usually only use it on no-makeup days.

Great for oily skin
Perfect lotion for oily skin. Using it everyday for a months already and I can say it’s amazing. The texture is very light, the scent is very subtle and the packaging is great. It fit in my bag and I can carry it around everywhere. Highly recommend for combination skin.

I really like this moisturizer. I use it on a daily basis I am talking about every single day. iI’s very affordable and I can notice it really makes a difference putting this on before I expose myself to the sun. It is very light on the skin and blends very well. I like that the moisturizer has a pump to it.

it pills so bad, even when waiting. just trying to rub in the product into your skin causes it to pill up in white balls.

Keep it simple
As someone with acne prone skin, I am always looking for a simple but effective moisturizer. This moisturizer helped restore the barrier on my face. It absorbs nicely into the skin and is very soft when applying. It works well with other serums that I use. I highly recommend this product as a simple and affordable brand. In the past, I found myself paying ridiculous prices for facial products, thinking that the more expensive they were, the more results I would see. Thos brand has taught me that what I previously thought it so far from the truth. It isn't about using an overload of products to combat acne but using one's that are tested and recommended by dermatologists.

Allergen Alert! Now contains Benzoic Acid.
I used to use this product before you changed the formulation to include benzoic acid. Thank goodness for my CAMP app alerting me to this as I have a horrible allergy to benzoates. It's too bad, because CeraVe had been my go to for years. Now only the Healing Ointment is safe and I certainly wouldn't use that as a facial moisturizer.

Hydrates well and has SPF, but feels oily and pill
the CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizer is a pretty good daily spf moisturizer that keeps my skin hydrated and protected ☀️. However, it does feel a little oily and when applying primer, it tends to pill or come off. It’s amazing for sun protection, but not the best if you wear makeup regularly.

Disappointing — Made My Skin Too Dry
I bought this a couple weeks ago after switching from Aveeno since that one made my face greasy. This moisturizer made my skin really dry — I could actually feel how tight and uncomfortable it was. It also left a white tint on my face, and the sunscreen smell was really strong. I wouldn’t recommend it and now I’m stuck with a full bottle I can’t use.

throwing away after 2 days
very bad lotion. i used it for two days and im throwing it away. it’s impossible to apply properly, it gets clumped and you can’t spread it evenly no matter how hard you try. i love other cerave products, but this was a complete waste of money.

Leaves little pill clumps on my face
While I love other Cersve products, this moisturizers leaves little clumps on my face that have to be brushed off. I cleanse my face well, so I'm not sure why this product does this. I will purchase another daily moisturizer as I don't like this and I keep trying it again to see if maybe it will stop. It has not. I feel I wasted my money. Love their other cleansers and night time moisturizers. Disappointed in this product.

White rubbery substance leftover
This was my first time ever using this product. It went on with a white cast, but that was expected because of the SPF. I could not get it to fully absorb into my face. There was a white rubbery ish substance left over. I had been rubbing it in for a few minutes. I wish I had taken a photo. Also, the product I did get to absorb made me look greasy. I had to take it off and put on something else. Do not recommend. I should have listened to the reviews. The nighttime version of this moisturizer is great (I use it every night) which is why I wanted to try this one. I will be buying another morning moisturizer.

Pilled and did Not Spread Evenly
I received a sample of the AM moisturizer, but it wasn’t a good product for me. I applied the moisturizer of peptide serums, and the lotion clumped and would not apply smoothly. After working it into my skin for a bit, it pilled all over my face and I had to re-wash my face and start over. Unfortunately, I could not use this moisturizer any further. I’ve never had sunscreen or products containing sunscreen behave this way before.

Great product, but too much pilling.
Honestly, I was really excited to try this because of all the good reviews, and it was actually pretty good for the first week of using it. Unfortunately, I noticed this moisturizer pilling on my skin when I used it. While it did moisturize well, I couldn't get past the pilling. There was no scent though, so that was a plus. Sadly I won't be buying or using this moisturizer again because of the pilling, I've never had an issue with pilling from other moisturizers besides this one.
