Q: Ok for candle making?
A: They can be submerged in boiling water so I imagine you could pour in hot wax to make candles.
submitted byKira - 4 years agoA: Ball 12pk 8oz Quilted Jars Jars have been tested to be used for Water Bath Canning or Pressure Canning following tested recipe and current guidelines for home canning. We cannot provide any guidance on making candles in them.

Q: Are the lids rust/corrosion safe? I have dealt with poor quality lids from other brands that rust, and I was wondering what materials yours are made from and if they are designed to be rust proof?
A: Hi IT, thank you for your interest in our products! The lids for the Ball 8oz. 12pk Glass Regular Mouth Quilted Mason Jar with Lid and Band are made from Tin-Plated Steel and they are not rust proof. We suggest that you hand dry them and not allow them to air dry once they are not in use.

These tests certify the products are compliant to all limits and safety standards established by the governing groups for chemicals such as lead, cadmium, mercury and other regulated chemicals as applicable for each different product.
