Defective camera
I purchased this camera, only to find out that it was previously owned and registered by a prior owner. It was returned and put back on the shelf. The camera, according to the manufacturer, can not be factory reset and is rendered defective. Now I am responsible for returning it.

Screen needs refreshing everh 1-2 minute
The screen for monitoring within the app needed refreshing every 1-2 minutes! During which time it would turn to a pink screen with a refresh button. Need I say more? What’s even the point if the monitoring isn’t continuous? We wanted to use it as a baby monitor because our Wyze cam cable broke. When I wake up middle of the night, I’d like to just turn over and glance at my phone (which I have mounted on a stand with app turned on) to ensure baby is safe. Night one, realized instead, that every single time I went to look at it, it was no longer capturing the room anymore and would be on the refresh screen. Not to mention, even after pressing refresh, takes a moment to reload, then I have to zoom/whatever it is I need to do personally in order to have a good view of the crib. Imagine doing this when you’re so tired in the middle of the night and expect to be able to just give the phone a quick glance, instead it required manipulating and waiting every time. Not acceptable and so annoying. No wonder it was discounted. Returned and got a replacement Wyze camera. You get what you pay for.

To troubleshoot, ensure your Sync Module LED is solid blue and green, check that your Wi-Fi is functioning and your router is within range, then delete and re-add the camera in the Blink app by tapping the "+" icon; also make sure the app is updated, restart your router and Sync Module by unplugging for 30 seconds, and if issues persist, reset the Sync Module by holding the reset button until the LED flashes red, then set it up again. Just overall awful. Set up was quick but the camera isn’t live and most of the features need a subscription to use. Even the motion activation is awful. I tried changing all the settings that said could be the issue but even then I had to almost walk into the camera for it to activate. Do not buy, you’re better off with a Ring camera.

The button appears a few times until your viewing limit of five minutes is reached. With a Blink Basic/Plus subscription, you get extended live view for the Blink Mini, which will stream video directly from your device in the Blink app for up to 90 continuous minutes.
