Formula change?
I used to use this mascara in glam black daily for years, recently I think something has changed because it’s not staying on even a day, clumping, flaking, and by about hour 2-3 I have like these grey circles under my eyes and it’s setting in my eye creases. I used to maybe touch it up later in the day before going out but to be honest I rarely did. Now I’m taking my makeup with me everywhere fixing it. This is at least the second tube I had do this. I bought the second one hoping it was just a fluke but unfortunately it’s the exact same.

This is not The colossal mascara anymore
I think you did the ol’switcharoo on me. I bought the colossal mascara because I love the brush applicator & the smell. Today I opened my new one & something felt off. It didn’t seem just quite right my lashes were clumping together. So I grabbed my old mascara & noticed that it’s 2 different brushes. Checked the label on the bottom of the tube even the numbers have changed. The mascara doesn’t have that floral smell either 😞. How is this still called the colossal mascara when everything is different?

Chanel mascara dupe
I almost purchased the Chanel mascara but was on a hunt to find a dupe. This lived up to my expectations. I do have long lashes but this really intensifies my lashes and adds volume. It doesn’t flake and stays on all day. it’s easy to apply and easy to remove with a wipe or miscellar water.

A total disappointment
I have used many Maybelline products and have loved them . I bought this Colossal mascara and it is awful. It stays wet for too long after applying so it gets everywhere. After it dries if you try to apply another coat it flakes badly. I am so disappointed and if I had the receipt I would ask for a refund .

Best drugstore mascara out there!
This is hands down the best drugstore mascara I have ever tried! Maybelline Colossal volumizes lashes incredibly well -- my lashes look so thick and full after just one or two coats. The thickening formula goes on smoothly without clumping and really builds up the volume beautifully. I have tried so many mascaras over the years and nothing at this price point comes close. It gives a dramatic, full lash look without spending a fortune. The hypoallergenic formula is a huge bonus -- great for sensitive eyes. It's fine just not for me.
I have straight medium length and medium thickness lashes and I feel like this mascara would would be perfect for long lash girlies but I need a tad bit of help with length and this doesn't provide any. I was told to stay away from this mascara because it would weigh my straight lashes down but I don't agree. I felt it held a curl nicely. I tried it anyway despite being warned away because it has the kind of brush I like and I like to try something different once and while but I will be going back to my old faithful full n' soft because this did not out preform that for me but it you already have it all going on. As in your lashes are long and thick as you like you might really like this. I just didn't love it because as stated I need just a little help with length not a huge amount just a little and this did not give anything even with multiple coats. I did 3 coats and it thickened but no extra length. Not a bad product just not for my type of lashes.

This mascara has a very strong scent. The brush is okay. It doesn't really help with combing through the lashes. It is more on the softer side, but definitely too soft. Didn't really give my straight lashes any length or volume. To get my desired look, I had to apply 3/4 coats and it got clumpy. Not very buildable.
