Black marks on jar's
The last two orders of jar's have had black marks on the outside of the jars that do not come off. Even after being sterilized. I believe it has nothing to do with the store or customer service, it's a manufacturing issue.

Quality is subpar at best
Quality has went DOWN dramatically. Brand new jars coming with small fractures. Half of the 12 in the case cannot be used for canning. Too late for return because I buy them to keep on hand & sometimes don’t open to use for several months. This is same for all Ball jars the last year - quality is awful. Won’t buy again.

Too small for freezing
Review of: Ball 8oz. 12pk Glass Regular Mouth Quilted Mason Jar with Lid and Band I'll first say that I do love the Ball mason jar brand in general. I have many of their jars in various sizes and am usually very happy with them. I bought these little 8oz jars for freezing my homemade chicken stock in 1 cup portions. I know that the straight sided jars are what is best for freezing. These are the usual great quality I expect from Ball. I love the quilted look for added visual beauty. However, I wrongly thought that the 8oz would be lower than the rim, to allow for expansion of liquid when it freezes. These jars are 8oz right at the rim. They comfortably hold 6 1/2 oz (that is to the bottom of the metal ring). They're even too small for my overnight oats. Cute little jars, though. Hopefully I'll find uses for some of them, but I don't need this many.

Not the quality expected. I usually by Ball jars but there were jars with black marks all over them and a cracked jar in my purchased of 2 cases and another friend from another town had the same issue.
