Description

CETAPHIL Sheer Mineral Face Liquid Sunscreen is an ultra lightweight, 100% Mineral UVA/UVB filter sunscreen designed for daily use on the face. Broad spectrum SPF 50 reflects both UVA and UVB rays to help prevent sunburn and decrease the risk of skin cancer and early signs of aging due to sun exposure. The sheer formula was developed with sheer zinc to provide maximum broad spectrum protection in a serum-like formula that applies easily to skin. It leaves a dry, matte finish ideal for application under makeup. The non-greasy formula will not clog pores and is dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested to be safe for use on the face. Formulated with soothing vitamin E to comfort the skin, this sheer sunscreen locks in lasting hydration to help prevent against the drying effects of the sun. Shake well. Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply: After 80 minutes of swimming or sweating, Immediately after towel drying. At least every every 2 hours. Sun Protection Measures. Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a Broad Spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including: Limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, hats, and sunglasses.

not for very oily acne prone skin

I bought this sunscreen to try it on my oily acne prone skin hoping for a matte dry finish, which I didn't see that as a result !! hard to blend, always ended up with white cast, very sticky on oily skin. Overall I had a bad experience after using it for more than 2 months. if you have combo skin it might work, but definitely not for oily skin !! I would never buy it again !!

Lightweight sunscreen with good absorption, minima

I've been using the Cetaphil Sheer Mineral Liquid Sunscreen SPF 50 and really like how it feels on my skin. It's not sticky and absorbs well without feeling heavy. There is a slight white cast at first, but it blends in nicely after a few minutes. It doesn't feel greasy and sits comfortably under makeup. The scent is very light and not irritating. Overall, it's a good option for daily sun protection.

It has a quite good protection against the sun. And most importantly super gentle on sensitive skin and doesn’t lead to breakouts. But the only downside is the slight white cast it leaves behind, its not really bad but if you don’t want a white cast at all then I wouldn’t recommend this. But otherwise it’s pretty effective and not greasy and also not so expensive for a 1.7 oz bottle.

Spf is not 50! More like 5

This product does not provide sun coverage. I slathered my neck and chest with Cetaphil Sheer Mineral Liquid Sunscreen 50 but used Isdin magic fusion 50 all over my face. By the time I got home my neck was red and burned, but my face was still white. I have never been so disappointed in a sunscreen in my entire life.

Perfect face sunscreen for sensitive skin

This is my go to face sunscreen every summer whenever we go to the beach. There is no heavy feeling and you apply it and there’s no white cast even with full coverage.

Great with makeup!

Whoa I like this! I usually HATE sunscreen, which is a problem because I have very fair sensative skin. This, however, rubs in clear and feels more like a soft lotion. Its not greasy, absorbs well within 15 minutes of applying (for me atleast) and sits great under my makeup. Its small enough to fit into any of my smaller purses, which is great for taking it on the go. I am outside a lot in the spring/summer and I definitely need something easy I can reapply in the car or restroom before getting more sun. Specifically, I am doing IPL therapy for my chronic rosacea next week and I was recommended this sunscreen to protect my skin before and after treatment.

perfect everyday sunscreen

i LOVE this formula. it’s smooth and absorbs easily on dry skin (a little goes a long way, idk how people find this greasy when i have oily skin and this makes my skin matte), and it doesn’t break me out - the zinc makes a huge difference in my skin. i’ve struggled with hormonal acne for years and this is the only sunscreen that doesn’t irritate my skin at all, and i even notice more inflammation on days that i miss putting it on. this formula is seriously lifechanging. it’s a mineral sunscreen so the white cast is a concern if you don’t have very light skin, but it may disappear under makeup

I have tried quite a few mineral sunscreens and this is by far my favorite. I have very dry combo/acne prone skin, and sensory processing disorder so I am very picky about how sunscreen feels on my face. This one goes on like others and feels a bit shiny at first but by the time im walking out the door it's dried down and feels like my natural skin again, not greasy at all. I have a light skin tone, and it does not leave a whitecast on me like other sunscreens have. I love the shaker bottle design, its convenient to keep a bottle in the car or my purse. It's very affordable for the quality of the formulation in my opinion. I researched the ingredients and theyre all non-comedogenic, so this product should not cause breakouts.
