Charging port breaks. Garbage.
Went through 2 of them within 4 months. Both of the charging ports broke with the monitor just sitting in one spot not moving. Customer support is terrible and they won’t let you buy just the monitor. You have to buy the whole kit. I would not recommend buying this garbage.

Cord input now junk!
I have used this for less than two years and now the port where you connect charging cord is junk and will not work even with all creative attempts to jiggle, and wiggle the cord to get it to charge.

Wouldnt recommend buying
I would highly recommend not getting this monitor. It just randomly stopped working just after a year. After googling it, it looks like a very common issue.

Buyer beware
Do not buy this camera! This is the second one that the has malfunctioned in under a year. The screen will not hold a charge and will quit charging when it’s plugged in causing it to shut off overnight. I loved the first one we bought so much that I risked it and bought another one after our first one quit working. Sad to say that second one has had the same issues.

Fine
Worked great for about a year and a half and even bought an add on before welcoming our second child. Great sound, range is amazing, temperature is accurate, easy set up and good picture. But then the “parent unit”completely stopped charging and customer service was horrible to work with-all for a 5% discount on a new “parent unit”. After all the money spent on a Vava set up for two children, we wish we just originally went with another popular brand that’s a little more expensive.

Broke within a month
The monitor charging port broke within a month of use so the monitor would not charge at all. I reached out to the company but they would not send a replacement, seeing as this was a gift and I didn’t have the receipt. This monitor is now completely useless. Being a company that sells baby items, one would think they would have a process to replace defective items that were gifted but turns out they do not. Absolutely do not recommend not only for the poor customer service, but completely useless products.

Broke within 6 weeks of use
The monitor screen just stopped working, wasn't dropped, had no issue with charging, then just decided one morning to not turn on ever again. Plugging in does not charge the battery and the system is bricked essentially. Never buying from this company again.

Save yourself the headache and money.
Wish I would’ve just listened to the reviews, but wanted to give it a shot for myself due to the mixed reviews. Charging cable for the camera went bad after a couple months and only worked if it was bent a certain way, ended up buying another cable and same thing is happening so I’m assuming there is a defect in the port itself. The monitor does not hold a charge to save my life!!! Will only power on if it’s plugged in and that defeats the purpose. Ugh I’m sad, wanted to love it but it crapped out. Not worth its price AT ALL.

Works great for a year
We have bought toooooo many of these, returned a couple that were broken right out of the box (looked already returned), and used two "long-term" in our home. The first lasted about 2 years, and the second kicked the bucket just over the year mark - right outside of the warranty period. It has been great to monitor 2-3 kids over that time, but it's really disappointing when it suddenly refuses to charge when we use it multiple times a day and overnight to monitor our kids.

Will not charge after less than two years
Great picture quality, good range, but stopped charging after less than two years of use, and have been having issues getting it to charge for the last six months or so.

Wont Charge - ZERO support
Had this device for a short time. Issues with it charging started shortly after. It would only charge if the cord was bent in a specific way by the monitor. Eventually that didn’t work and we bought a new cord which helped for a little while. But now it will not charge at all regardless of the cord. Customer service is a joke. Same issues noted all over Reddit. I essentially have a $100 paperweight. Do NOT buy from this company.

I've been using this monitor now for almost 4 years, it works great, has great reach across the house and the night mode is super clear. I'm purchasing a second one for my second baby.

Malfunctions quickly & battery life is short
Wanted to love this… screen & sound quality is great. However, within a few months, the kickstand broke, the screen would turn blank when trying to view my baby and the monitor completely stopped charging.

Awful Monitor
This is an awful product. It stopped charging after a year of use and began to die in the middle of the night, leaving us unable to see or hear our baby. Customer service is unwilling to help. Unfortunately if you look into it, this is a common problem for this product. It is expensive and left many customers disappointed. Definitely go with a better, more reputable brand!

Would not reccomend
My experience with the monitor was similar to many others: it stopped working, stopped charging, began making a humming or buzzing noise, and eventually died randomly in the middle of the night when it did hold a charge. Vava's customer service was terrible. Despite sending numerous emails and providing all the requested information, I received delayed responses and was repeatedly asked for the same details. I eventually requested a phone call because they do not provide a phone number, and the call was as unproductive as the emails. Needless to say, I did not repurchase and switched to a different monitor brand.

Good monitor
We’ve used this continually for 2 years and it works great. The battery lasts all night Not plugged in. I have seen other monitors that have crisper images at night, but this one is sufficient for us and we really like that it isn’t dependent on wifi.
