Not as good as I expected.
I bought this to replace a cheaper version I’ve had a long time. OXO brand is usually better grade products but not this one. First of all it does not filter the grounds very well & I always get a mouthful of grounds with my last few drinks of coffee! Yuck! Second there are no markings to tell you where to pour the water up to for 4, 6, or 8 cups. Every other French press I’ve had has had markings. It is made well & I do like the grounds lifter but I am disappointed. I was willing to pay more thinking I would get a better product. I guess I’ll go back to my old cheap one.

Amazing for brewing or steeping teas and coffee! Strains everything. Not crazy big easy to take apart and clean. Handle is very sturdy, just do not use any metal for stirring or it’ll shatter the glass

This is handy, convenient & sturdy! I always need a morning cup of coffee available! I pre ground the night before so I wake up and just add hot water. Love the size and capacity of this French press, performs well and is made of good quality! Easy to clean too.

This teapot looks elegant and keeps tea warm, but
I really like this teapot — it looks elegant and makes tea taste great. It holds plenty of tea leaves and keeps the tea warm for a good while. The only downside is that the glass feels a bit fragile, and the metal part inside the piston can get a little loose after some use. I bought it online for a small price, the price was worth the quality.

I broke the french press with little bit of pressure, SO embarrassed i realized a little too late that I had the spoon a little misplaced. . . . I did had coffee and it is great.

I have loved the convenience of this french press for years, but a guest broke the carafe and I wish it could be replaced instead of having to buy an entire new product. It just seems wasteful.

The grounds lifter allows grounds to escape past the plunger screen, and I don't know that it really saves me that much cleanup effort. I now use it without the grounds lifter. The glass carafe is sturdier than my previous bodum French press and the holder is robust.

It's a very nice French press with a comfortable and robust handle. The grounds lifter passes smoothly into and out of the carafe. Four stars instead of five because the prior version was much better IMO, with more stainless steel constituting the barrel and smaller windows on each side, exposing only about an inch-width of glass per window (vs. more than double that in the current model).

Plunger won't unscrew from filters so can't clean filters
My husband gave me an 8-cup French Press with Grounds Lifter a couple of years ago for Christmas. We use it occasionally and like it, but now the plunger won't unscrew from the filters and I cannot clean them. I don't see a replacement part on OXO's website either. I generally think OXO products are very good quality, but this is taking away from my view of their products.
