I like that it is smaller than its major competitor - much easier to travel with! I also like that there is a physical button on the top to turn it on and off when using it. Light and sound are good quality. Very happy with this!

We use our machine every night on the rain setting. My husband enjoys it just as much as our newborn. It definitely helps to keep the baby asleep and distracted from noises that may startle him awake when it’s quiet. The brightness is adjustable and you can do almost any color for the light. I was confused at first because there is a separate app that you download to setup and use your sound/light machine but you are still able to control the sound/light machine from the Nanit app once you connect it to your account. The light definitely helps set up the space for a restful night sleep as much as possible with a tiny one.

Still deciding if I like this or not. I love the travel carrying case. I like that it integrates directly with Nanit camera. But it randomly sometimes has a mind of its own where it will just turn off, lose connectivity, or change color/sound. It is not good for travel because of the WiFi password requirement, when many hotels do not have a WiFi password. That problem renders it much less useful and harder to use when traveling, particularly because any preset routines take over and they aren't changeable without a WiFi connection. The double tap at the top isn't as good as Hatch's single tap. The volume control within the Nanit isn't user friendly. This product has a lot of good ideas but the execution just isn't there. We have only used it traveling so far, but hoping it is better for at-home daily use. . .

We liked the sound and light machine, I would have liked the app to have integration with YouTube music which could give us access to a lot more lullabies which we could leverage and play instead of using our phones. The machine kept forgetting the setting that was set on the app. If not for that I would have given it 5 stars. Functionally as first time parents we have no complains at all. Our baby enjoyed some of the noises which helped soothe him and put him to sleep.

Annoying that it doesn’t even turn on a sound without an app on your phone. The light isn’t bright enough even at the highest settings. Useless

While the app is required for the initial setup, once that’s complete, you can control the device directly without needing your phone. You can use the button on top to cycle through your saved favorites, and adjust both the volume and light brightness using the buttons on the back of the device. Constant connectivity issues. Far too expensive to be unable to use the app 75% of the time. No manual way to turn the volume up/down on the machine when the app inevitably fails you.

I can setup and control its function through app. I needed something like this for my daughters room. My girl wakes up in the morning with the light and sound from this device. She looks more positive and happy. There are various lights and sounds you can choose from and customize when to play it. You can change the brightness of light but can only choose only one light at a time. It has a good convenient design and safe for kids. The sound is not very loud to heart ears.
