Q: Will this work well at cleaning the OVEN? Haven’t seen this mentioned. Also have the scrub mommy so wondering if the scrub daddy is better for tough stuck on stains, etc.

Scrub Daddy is made of FlexTexture, a polymer foam that changes its texture depending on the water temperature you use. In cold water, Scrub Daddy becomes firm and rigid, which is ideal for tackling burnt or sticky messes. In warm water, it softens into a sponge-like consistency, making it easier to reach tight corners and create a soapy lather. A: If mine is ever looking dirty I just use a bunch of Dawn soap on it and that helps restore the Scrub Daddy after it gets a little grungey from certain foods.

Q: If this goes soft in warm water how do you use it to clean anything that requires scrubbing instead of just rinsing? Cold water should NEVER be used to clean, yet that's what this needs to function???

A: Who says cold water "should NEVER be used to clean"? Is this a law? LOL You can use it cold to scrub away residue on anything, and then go in with hot soapy water if you need to.

Obsessed! Once you get this in hot water it's more squishy, and holds soap amazingly. It suds up and gets things squeaky clean! Love this to clean my kitchen counters and sink, oven cooktop, fridge shelves... I have a second one for my bathroom: sinks tub and shower. Beats using a scrub brush, especially if you have arthritic hands, it's easier to maneuver, you can squish it behind sink handles and faucet hardware, and it does an amazing job cleaning. I think it would do an amazing job with dishes and glassware, altho I'm leary when it comes to repeated abrasive scrubbing in Tritan plastics, like if it will make it look foggy over time, I'm not sure I'd use this for that but for everything else like glass, opaque plastics or stainless yes! Get one for every area, you will love it!!!

I will never use another sponge again. The original will always be my favourite. Best sponge I have ever used. It doesn’t hold onto grease or food if it’s rinsed. I’ve run them through the dishwasher of small particles ever get stuck. It holds soap like no other. I love the happy colours and the happy faces. Functional and fun. Awesome product and in my top 10 best things I’ve ever owned.

The quality has definitely gone down or they sold me a fake one. Supposed to be hard when in cold water but it’s squishy still and not as dense. I have older ones I compared it too and it’s definitely different.

This may result in a delayed or subdued firming of the foam, and in some rare cases, it will not become firm regardless of how long it is saturated. An easy way to test this theory in your home is to submerge your Scrub Daddy in ice water or saturate it and place it in the freezer. The scrubber should become firm. I have used this for scrubbing out my sink and showers to get residue to go away. I love that it is plasticky and dishwasher safe because I feel like I’m able to actually get it clean unlike regular sponges, which always kind of smell even when washed.
