I saw skeptic
I hate buying new appliances bc I don't think they're made as well as the old ones. In this case, my old mixer died, and I had no choice. I researched several sites and many different brands and styles and narrowed it down to this Hamilton Beach mixer. I remember this brand as a kid, and after reading the reviews, I bought it. I don't bake as much as I used to, so I've had it for about two weeks. It cut thru the cream cheese and butter for my cream cheese frosting like nothing. No big splatters, and I only had the setting on 1! So far, I'd highly recommend!

Beware if you are left handed
First time using the mixer and the motor started to burn. Also if you're left handed like me the cord is in a akward spot to the right. Made using it was a challenge.

Beaters are SO quiet! Blends and whips better!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In my video I am making banana bread and blending the bananas. When the beaters hit the side or bottom of bowl they just keep going quietly. The old ones banged noisily. I love the way the mixer & attachments store compactly all together. I didn't have a problem with cookie dough. The slow start does prevent splatter! If I had a Hamilton Beach microwave, my kitchen would be all Hamilton Beach now!

Versatile mixer

I worked great with power to spare. I love the storage stand that came with the mixer, well thought out no more searching for the beaters.

Pretty good mixer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tested this mixer on 2 different types of food. The first was slow cooked chicken. Definitely couldn't shred all 6 breasts in one shot. Had to do it in smaller batches but got the job done. Today I tried it on a double batch of sugar cookie dough... Creamed the wet stuff like a champ but I definitely was rough mixing the dry ingredients in. I could hear the strain on the motor at the lower to mid speeds. I tried turning up the speed to 4 or 5 and then the mixer got hard to control. The handle is not easy on hands that have arthritis and that's definitely a design flaw I'd change. I'm going to be making chocolate chip cookies later and probably won't do a double batch now which I frequently do just because this mixer definitely can't handle the thickness of it.
