Long process
It charges with a usb cord and it takes a long time to charge. It does not plug in to a regular electric outlet with an electric power cord, so when I forgot to charge it, I had to wait for my smoothie. The charge lasted 1 to 1 1/2 smoothies for me before needing to charge again. The cup does not have a bottom without the base, which I found to be heavy and awkward. The blades cannot go in the dishwasher, so I had to run it 3-4 times to clean it or hand wash. I found it difficult to screw the cup and unscrew the cup and the bottomless cup doesn't seem to wash well in the dishwasher. It frequently gets jammed. With my old less expensive blender it took 5 minutes to make a smoothie. Now with cleaning and blending it takes 20 minutes. I regret my purchase.

Needs work
This blender is nice but sucks at the same time. It will die in the middle of blending and then it doesn’t come apart so if that does happen you can put the ingredients in the fridge/freezer while the battery charges; you have to dump all contents out. It’s all around inconvenient. Needs better battery

crap product
doesn’t hold a charge at all. constantly says the blades are blocked when it’s already blended so it never finishes blending my smoothie. worst blender. would not recommend.

I love mine
I’ve had mine for 2 years now. It still works great. I add my frozen fruit, yogurt, and flax and take it with me to the gym. After my workout, I add water to the liquid line and blend. Makes a great frozen smoothie every time. Mine still charges and blends great. When the blade is stuck due to a big piece of frozen fruit, the light turns red. A good shake fixes it. You do have to lightly shake back and forth while blending for an even smoothie, but that’s nothing to complain about. I only charge mine when it indicates it’s low, so maybe that’s why my battery is still doing well. I use it 4 days a week. Super easy to clean, too. Dab of soap and run it. They didn’t have the one that detaches from the motor when I got mine. I’d love that one so I wouldn’t have to wash the base, but mine still works great so I can’t justify spending the money.

The blades cant even handle pre cut frozen fruit (which is what I make my smoothies with) and are constantly getting blocked. Whats also annoying is that after it dies, even when plugged in, it will say it does not have enough battery to blend and you have to wait before using! Very frustrating. Received as a gift and would not recommend it.

Nope.
When it DID work it would only have enough charge for one smoothie (ish). Did not make it through ONE all the way…then like others, it just died. Disappointing. I’ve loved other items from Ninja

I purchased this because the little Hamilton Beach blender that I purchased before kept cracking so I thought why not. I'll spend a little more money and get something higher quality. well it didn't last 8 months. it's been charged. it's been cleaned when I put ingredients in it. I line up all the little arrows and it is not working at all.

Horrible Battery life.
cool concept. probably blends 2 or 3 times before battery is fully depleted. doesn't blender frozen things very well. won't blend ice unless you run it a couple times, then it needs a new charge.
