Her roots were getting dark while her ends stayed light. The instructions were clear and simple to understand. The device is easy to assemble and use. She used it the night before a party. It evened out her hair color. She was pleased with the results. However, she'd prefer to go lighter when using this in the future. It was two in the morning when she tested it. It's surprisingly quiet when in operation.

High-tech hair color that almost makes salon visit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the L’Oréal ColorSonic system with the 6 Light Natural Brown cartridge, and overall it’s a pretty impressive piece of beauty tech. The device mixes and dispenses the color automatically while the bristles help part and coat the hair evenly. The process feels surprisingly simple—almost like brushing your hair—so it takes a lot of the guesswork out of at-home coloring. The shade turned out natural-looking with solid gray coverage, and the formula felt gentle compared to traditional box dyes. I also liked that each cartridge can provide multiple uses for touch-ups. That said, it’s not completely foolproof. If you have very thick hair, you still need to work slowly to make sure every section gets covered evenly. The device is also a bit bulky to maneuver around the back of the head until you get used to it. Overall, this is a clever innovation that makes DIY hair color easier and less messy—just not quite perfect yet. 4 stars.

Not only does its make dying your hair yourself easier, the product itself comes with everything you need. It's got the cleansing cartridge (USB charging cable) lengths adjuster for the head of the product but it even came with disposable gloves. I saw no irritation to my skin, and the smell was not overwhelming at all. The storage for this is great. Just put the product back in the ox it came with, slide the box top over and there ya go, simply store that way. Everything is in its place and no worry of things getting lost. I used the color dark blonde natural 7. Only complaint, is if I had it to do over I would have went a lighter color but otherwise. Amazing and innovative product

I will say comes nicely packaged, appreciate the 2 boxes of color, however, it will not turn on. I tried troubleshooting, watched videos, eat. I just must have received a defective product.

You should also listen for the "click" sound when installing the cartridge. That sound indicates that the cartridge is properly installed. Colorsonic delivers beautiful color but takes some
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Loreal hair coloring device from Influenster in exchange for my review and it was a totally new thing for me as I typically use box dye or go to a salon. The product itself seemed easy enough to use, but once you open it and get into it, it's slightly more complicated than I thought it would be. The priming and starting of the product was difficult. I wasted the entire first cartridge as I thought I followed the directions correctly but instead of color coming out, it was mostly developer. Then it sort of just started acting finicky so I stopped and took the cartridge out and replaced with a new one and it was much better, so I'd make sure you have more than enough before beginning. As I started applying, the ease of distributing it thoroughly was a plus. You just comb it through the hair, but it takes a knack to start and stop the product coming out of the machine between strokes. I did make a bit of a mess at first but got better as I went through my hair. I like the different attachments for roots and ends, as I have longer and thicker hair. The color came out a beautiful and rich dark brown with no spotting or patches, and my hair felt and soft, not overly damaged as some coloring products can be. The instructions could have been more thorough on the starting and priming of the tool and I did find it obnoxious to have to keep pressing the button to distribute and letting go to stop just at the right time. The tool itself isn't overly noisy, but not quiet either. For the price point, it is relatively expensive but if you practice with it I think it could be a great alternative to going to the salon.

It literally does almost all the work for you with distributing the dye evenly in my hair. It’s not loud and it puts the dye in my hair evenly at a good speed. Coloring hair just got easier!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Device was easy to use, and I followed the instructions from the QR code and it was really helpful. The application was spot on and covered all of my grey’s. I didn’t feel any lumps of hair color on my scalp that usually leaves a weird color residue. The package includes the device, charging cable, gloves, and an extension for the color dispenser which I didn’t end up needing to use maybe somebody with way thicker hair than me would need it. I was surprised as to how easy this was to cover my grey hair strands that keeps showing up on the root of my hairline. I only use the product near my scalp to cover the white hair strands and the device helped get all of them. This is going to save me a lot of time and money cause I don’t have to go to the salon. I’m excited to not make a mess while coloring my hair at home. The color from the cartridge is deep and my hair is very shiny since coloring it. The shine and color have lasted 2+ weeks and going strong still.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used L'Oreal Paris hair coloring device on my long hair, which is below my shoulder blades. I always color my hair at home, buying dye in the store and using a brush and comb. This new device is convenient for coloring the back, front, and behind the easily. However, it's inconvenient for coloring the lengths of my hair, as I squeeze out a lot of dye at once and distribute it with a lot of dye at once a wide-tooth comb. This device only squeezes out a small amount of dye, and it takes a long time to color the lengths. So, I started coloring my hair with the device and colored the front and back, and then I colored the lengths without the device. Overall, I liked coloring my hair with the L'Oreal Paris device, if I had shot hair. I wouldn't need anything else. The device is very easy to wash, so you can use it over and over again. The device changes via USB cable, so there are no wires to interfere with the hair coloring process. It can be used indoors or outdoors.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let’s start with what I like about this product. I LOVE that it appears to be a serious attempt at making at home hair care and dyeing more sustainable and less wasteful. The only single use plastic used in the packaging is the thin plastic cover, the gloves, a few caps on the brush tips, the small pouch the dye is contained in, and the tape used to hold everything in place. The rest of the package is biodegradable cardboard. Even the instructions are printed on a non-coated paper. DIY kits can be incredibly useful and I’m glad that this is not one of those items. I also love that it is effectively self cleaning and since the dye itself is all contained in one little pouch that you just push into the device, it keeps mess down so no random dye spots on your sink and cupboards that take months to maybe fade. Now on to the things I don’t love. There is a definite learning curve here. This is not for the mania-induced 2am hair dye kit. Leave that to Manic Panic and Splat. The instruction booklet + 13x8 instruction page is a bit overwhelming to look at and definitely makes you think twice about actually doing the thing. So, if you’re anything like me, this machine just might sit in a corner for 2-3 months before you remember you wanted to dye your hair in the summer, luckily by then, summer will be just around the corner again. My other dislike is that this was definitely not made with the Type 4 hair girls in mind. This is absolutely for hair no curlier than perhaps 3A. The length adapter somewhat helps but I felt the comb ripping through my hair and that’s the opposite of what I need. Overall a super cool concept but it seems no one with OUR hair had a seat at the table.
