This blender works well on soft food. It will not crush ice or small chunks of frozen fruit. It takes about 10 minutes to make a smoothie from frozen fruit. The lid is very difficult to remove. Using the easy clean/milkshake speed makes it easy to clean.

Corporate Greed Sells Shotty Blender
Motor was SMOKING and died after two weeks of use. Plus the lid was almost impossible to put on and off. I will be returning. It’s disgusting a billion dollar corporation sells such garbage. They better take my return too or I’m calling corporate. Greedy!!

Decent blender for price.
So I read a lot of negative reviews, but I wanted to give my opinion. I have only had the blender for a day, but I've used it a couple of times and it blends just fine with no burning smell, as others have stated. Hopefully it won't do the burning smell thing in the future. I bought this blender for occasional use to mainly puree vegetables for soups and make smoothies. I blended frozen fruit and it handled it just fine. The only thing I don't like is the lid which as others have stated, is pretty hard to get off once fully in, but my workaround for that is just not to put the lid on all the way pressed down. Problem solved. I like that it has a glass carafe and I also love the color. It was on sale and I had circle rewards so it was practically free. Can't complain there. So all in all, it's a decent blender so far for the price.

Could Be Worse
First off, this is not a 700W blender. Based on the label on the bottom, it's 384W and I measured 350W. It might "peak" at 700W for about a hundredth of a second, but you won't be blending anything at that. Second, by the time you fill it up more than half way, expect the motor to start emitting the foulest, most pungent, offensive smell you've ever encountered. It will mask any fresh scent in your house with it's half melting plastic, half unkept livestock notes. Oh and it's loud and the lid is nigh impossible to pull off. At least it's only $30.

Do not get this
First off, the flip cap on the lid was broke right out of the box. The lid itself takes a blood sacrifice to get off even after a few times, it doesn't loosen up. It's not any quieter then any other blender I've heard and quickly starts to smell hot. The blades suck the most, they don't pull or move anything. Tried onions, frozen fruit, cheese and cottage cheese and yogurt for a cheese sauce, even ice doesn't get chopped up. Nothing about this blender is good, also around the blades inside is a gap that food gets stuck inside of and is a pain to clean out
