Skip the buy

If you have hair on the finer/thinner side go ahead and skip. It gives a very mediocre clean and by the next day your hair needs a wash again.

I never write reviews so this is rare moment of celebration. Dove used to make a line that worked perfect for my thin, fine hair. I have been looking for a replacement product. I bought this shampoo because I liked the smell and the price. I didn’t really expect it to help my hair grow. I saw my hair stylist about when I started using this shampoo, and then 4 months later. She noted (without any prompting or questions from me) that my hair had grown a lot since I last saw her and that it was thicker. She also pointed out areas of new hair growth. So if you’re looking for a good shampoo that will actually help with hair growth, I highly recommend this one!

Not for me

Unfortunately, this shampoo caused me to have a lot of fall out after showering. It did give me some volume, which is what it’s made to do. I also wanted to love it because it smells so good, but my hair just felt dry even after I used conditioner. This could be more beneficial for someone with oily hair.

My favorite shampoo!

People sound so stupid reviewing shampoo. “It made my hair fall out, I do NOT recommend!!!!!” With absolutely no helpful information as to why; their hair type, length, texture, possible allergies, other shampoos tried, etc. I love this shampoo and I’m going to ACTUALLY explain why. I have long, frizzy, thin hair that gets greasy pretty quickly. No allergy issues, but I’ve always had a history of slight shedding which just seems normal for whatever reason. I have most recently tried native and method shampoo, and they were okay, but soapbox is my favorite. It doesn’t weigh down my hair. It helps smooth it out, especially paired with the soapbox oil I apply in the shower. Definitely has a strong fruity smell that I love. I’ve had no reactions to it and I think my hair feels healthier and I’m noticing less shedding in the shower. I think it’s cleaner ingredient wise than a lot of other options on the shelves. I recommend trying it!

Made my hair SUPER dry. It irritated my scalp and made my scalp so itchy. It also made my hair super difficult to brush. It was constantly getting matted. It caused dandruff. This stuff is awful. My hair is curly and wavy. It damaged my curls and waves. Do not waste your money. I wish I could get my money back. It’s awful.

Great product

My hair was falling out consistently, all day, when I brushed it was a handful full of strands, I constantly had hair on my clothes and all over me all day long. After using this product only a couple of times, there was an immediate difference! I wish I found this product sooner. I’ve tried many expensive brands that left my hair flat, oily and with no clean scent at all. This one smells so nice and leaves my very fine hair feeling a bit fuller and looks so much healthier.
