Packaging

I love this product but the tubing of it is not manageable. The dropper pulled apart from the lid. My partner is in engineering and construction and said to never buy a product from the company again due to the packaging. It was halfway full when the dropper broke which led to air getting into the container and it not being fully concealed again. I wish the packaging would be better for the long term

Best barrier repair serum

This is by far the best barrier repair serum Iv ever used . Iv used many serums and nothing compares to this . Immediately it soothes and restores my skin . It does not sting and it calms my skin and soothes redness . Perfect serum for sensitive skin

NOT THE SAME AS THE OLD PACKAGING

I've used the product for a long time, the product in the new packaging is NOT the same. It has a much stronger scent, it is sticky and it causes my rosacea to flair.

Defective bottle

The serum itself is fine, after a week of use I haven’t seen a noticeable difference but it does feel and smell nice. My issue is with the bottle. The dropper top will not stay closed. Even after tightening multiple times it has unwound itself and caused leaking and product loss. I’m a flight attendant and I bought this specifically to use when I’m on trips and now I’ve lost so much product and can’t even bring it with me to work unless I want to lose more. Really disappointed especially for the price.

Soothed my damaged skin barrier!

Love this serum! I was literally crying because of how bad my skin hurt after I had suffered from contact dermatitis on my face. I started using this along with their thermal spring water Cicalfate emulsion and Cicalfate recovery cream. Worked wonders

Reactive skin - Hydrating, slight tropical smell

I have super reactive skin, rosacea, and hypersensitivity to smells. I apply this on my face in the morning and evenings followed by the Tolerance Control Soothing Skin Recovery Cream. I still am not sure what the Cicalfate+ serum really does, but my skin feels refreshed, soft, and hydrated. It seems less prone to breakout when I eat rosacea triggering foods. It is important to note that it does have a smell, even though it says fragrance-free, but it's like a pleasant tropical coconut smell. It is in a class bottle with a dropper. The serum dries quickly on my face and the smell disappears when dry. I will continue to use it.

For background: I have sensitive, acne prone skin and have suffered from severe allergic reactions. I had to stop using all my skincare for an extended period of time and they barely kept my acne at bay. I had heard about Avene and tried it on a whim. I use this serum and the balm with Dennis Gross gentle peels daily. For the 1st time in over 20 years, I can go out without makeup. If you have a damaged skin barrier or just need excellent skin care? I highly recommend.
