Either it’s defective, or its me.
Went to my son’s house and he walked me through the process of making a two shot latte on his new machine. It was a different brand, but when I noticed this one was on sale I decided to grab this one and see if it would solve my coffee addiction. I’ve tried four times to get the frother to froth correctly and it’s not working (watched every video out there and followed the folded instructions, but to no avail. Then I went to make a two shot espresso today and nothing would come out. It just sat there flashing. I unplugged it and turned it off. Turned it back on nothing was working. Bringing it back and going to go for the smaller version of the one that my son has. Hopefully the machines are similar and can appease my addiction accordingly.

Disappointing Reliability & No Support – Buyer Beware
After about 10 months of normal use, this espresso machine started turning on and off randomly, which became very annoying — especially since it sometimes happened in the middle of the night (1–2 a.m.). Because of this, I had to keep the machine unplugged and only plug it in 1–2 times a day when using it. After about two weeks, the machine stopped turning on completely. I have tried multiple times to contact the Casabrews Support Team, but no one answers the phone or returns calls/emails. I also contacted Target customer service, where the machine was purchased, and was told that electronics only have a 90-day Target warranty, and after that you must deal directly with the manufacturer. Unfortunately, since the manufacturer is non-responsive, the only option left is to leave this review. This product did not last long enough, and the lack of customer support makes the situation worse. Buyers beware — either purchase an extended warranty or be prepared to deal directly with the manufacturer if something goes wrong.

Includes Pressure Gauge and Good Info
My old espresso machine was losing pressure and it didn't have a pressure gauge so I could troubleshoot it. The fact that Casabrews includes a pressure gauge gives it a rating over anything that doesn't have a gauge. It's a more definite quality assurance regarding the pressure system, which is needed to extract fine coffee grounds into espresso. The design is good which saves space on the countertop but shows to deliver in performance and holds enough water. Casabrews' info is even a little better than some brands, covering many of the fine points.

Tip: Run two shots of just water before you queue your espresso shots! Also! Don’t worry about spoiled shots - run your shots then steam your milk. This machine steams milk in a timely fashion but just needs a minute to think between espresso shots. Love mine! For the price, this is the best machine I could have gotten.

Perfect Beginner Machine!
I’ve been looking for an alternative to nespresso for awhile that didn’t break the bank but still made good espresso, and this is it! Super user friendly while still being very capable. It does come with a pressurized portafilter which may be a downside for some, but for me it does the job just fine! I do think casabrews sells a bottomless portafilter for those looking to dial in their shots a bit more. Could not recommend this machine enough!
