This stuff was just water…. Perhaps a bad batch or is that what it is? It says cream in the box and tube but it was a mess when I opened the tube and water went everywhere. I tried to shake it back together and squeezed the tube for about 20 min to nothing but water …. I guess you either love this or hate it… I don’t see how it is supposed to do what it claims. I had received it in a care package since I was going through chemo and cancer treatments and they said that this was the best stuff ever. Perhaps they got a different texture or formula or brand something cause this was awful and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Save your money and if you want water just run a glass under a faucet. Highly highly highly disappointed Wouldn’t let me add picture

I have used this in the past and just reordered…it is completely different. This is a watery mess, not just a little separation. You can hear that it is at least half liquid when you shake the tube. I really hope I able to return this.

Cicalfate + Restorative cream is the best on the market. Fragrance free, non greasy, non comedogenic formulat that melts into the skin, and great for sensitive and reactive skin. I used it as a sandwich method with Retin A, and no irritation/peeling at all. I highly recommend it to my patients. People complain about that it seperates, I never had an issue. All these people are pushing Avene to refomate the formula. If they ever add an emulsifier in it; it will definitely destroy the formula and it will become pore clogging. This is the only cream from Avene that has done wonders for my skin barrier. Avene has destroyed most of their Tolerance line when they reformulated. They used to have Avene fragrance free gel face wash, which was a gem on the market. They replaced it with an inferior irritant foam cleanser. So sad. I hope that they won't ruin this formula by reformulating it. No every product need to have hyaluronic acid or niacinamide. A lot of sensitivites are on the rise due to these trendy ingredients. Why not just come with one serum that has the ingredient so people can layer it. They definitely will be loose lot of customers if they ever change the Cicalfate + Restorative including me!

I have been using to control a skin condition I regularly battle. I have loved this cream for years. Recently, the formula must have changed. It separates and all of the water in the container squirts out before the cream. There is no way to remarry them inside the tube. It doesn’t feel the same.

All of the people complaining that it’s watery clearly haven’t massaged the tube to mix it up prior to opening the cap and squeezing it out. It does separate, like anything containing zinc does. It should say on the directions you need to massage the tube to mix the product up each time. Hopefully I’m not the only person with common sense who thought to do that…this stuff is amazing. It’s a cure all for sensitive skin.

What happened to this product?? I used to love this cream and it was perfect for healing my skin barrier. However, clearly the formula has been changed. The product is badly separated and a bunch of liquid comes out when I’m trying to use it instead of the thick cream it is supposed to be. So disappointing, will not be repurchasing unless they change the formula back!
