Cryo-MAX Cold Packs have been designed with a unique, technological design that allow the cold pack to remain cold for up to eight hours. This long-lasting relief makes it perfect for most common injuries, sore muscles, strains and sprains. CryoMAX features patented 'Points of Cold' technology that draws heat from the injury and applies therapeutic cold for precise pain relief. The medium size Cryo-MAX cold pack is 12" x 6", comes with an adjustable support wrap with hook and loop straps that can even be washed for maximum value and versatility. Q: is there any way to hold one or two of these well enough on my arm end to end lengthwise so I can be up and around? (Gashes bruises and swelling from below shoukder to wrist from an accident)

  • A: 2 ace bandages or 3” wide coban (sticky) - separate the upper and lower arm applications. Will be awkward to wrap. Prob need assistance. 1st time around with whichever you choose is LOOSE with no tension. Next apply gentle, overlapping wraps—firm but not tight enough to cut off circulation. You should be able to slip a fingertip under the edge. Over-tight wrapping can cause numbness or tingling.

Q: How do you get the gel pack to fit into the pouch? It definitely does not just slide in as pictured. Using a towel instead, which has no strap. And I’m in a lot of pain & holding does not help.

  • A: The pouches that come with the ice packs are designed to fit snug around the cold pack to help keep the relief in place when in use. You may have to make sure to slide the cold pack into the pouch before freezing since there is a possibility it can expand after being frozen. Thank you!

it is a good size but when you freeze it ,it is very heavy and stiff so it is hard to use around an arm or leg. The directions say it needs to freeze for 6 hours which is a long time before you can use it, in my opinion. I think the other gel packs that I've bought before are better.

I usually don’t do reviews but…this works great! It stays cold forever! It has a cloth type bag you put the ice pack in and it has Velcro. I do want to say that I read other reviews from customers and they say the ice pack does not fit. You have to fold the ice pack in half, then put it in the cloth bag.

Made tge right choice after an ankle sprain

I don’t care whether it lasts the full 8 hours but it does last an extraordinary amount of time compared to most others. Currently using it for a sprained ankle and I’ve had it out of the freezer for over 4 hours and it’s still quite cold. Only con: the blue bubbles are quite hard at first and were painful on my swollen ankle, but they soften up after about the first 20 minute session.
