Drink a full glass (8 oz) of liquid with each dose. Dose may be taken as a single daily dose or in divided doses. Do not exceed the maximum recommended daily dose in a 24 hour period.Adults and Children 12 Years of Age and Over

Q: Can toddler's take this product?

A: No they must be 6 years old or older. Call the doctor. Unfiltered apple juice does the trick with most toddler's.
submitted byToddler Teacher - 4 years agoA: Pedialax makes a magnesium hydroxide product for younger children, along with other remedies. It is 1/3 the dose as one of these chews. If diet or behavioral remedies don't work, magnesium can help the problem from worsening. Make sure you use it long enough that any discomfort from the original constipation has had a chance to heal, so that they don't start withholding stool. This is important for very young children like toddlers. They won't remember the 1000 comfortable poops they had before if one really hurts.

Should not even give it one star! It does not work. Old fashioned Milk of Magnesia did the trick. Save your money and do not buy this product.

These definitely work! As an adult I took the recommended dosage of 3 chews. The taste is a bit chalky but still very pleasant. The chew is soft and dissolves very easily. Make sure you plan to be at home when you take them. Within 40 minutes- the need to pass gas started, both burping and flatulence. Within an hour and the need to use the restroom came. No cramps, no bloating, no sudden urge. Just nature calling like normal. I did drink plenty of water after the dosage. Recommend these chews. Stay hydrated and happy going!

I really liked the taste and the chewables were effective, but it took almost 24 hours before they started to work. Just a note. I am taking weightloss injections, which are contributing towards my constipation. My intestines started really gurgling, and 48 hours after the initial dose of 3 chews, my intestines are still gurgling! You can hear the gurgling from the next room sometimes, it's so loud.

This morning (9am) I ate 4 chews with 16oz of water and a cup of coffee. It's now 10pm and absolutely nothing has happened. They taste good and were easy to chew, but they're not cheap and don't work.

You need to look at your product, this the 2nd bag of soft chews I've bought that the wrappers are sticking to the chews, have stand here & peel stuck paper off the chews for 5 minutes just to get my kid to eat them....

So, I want to say first, it did help me go to the bathroom… eventually. It says take 2-4 and it’ll work in 30 minutes- 6 hours. I took 2 and after 9 hours I experienced nothing. I took 2 more and within the next couple hours I was actually able to go to the bathroom. I wouldn’t say this is for anyone who needs instant relief by any means. However, I will say it gave me no stomach problems and i’m very sensitive to an upset stomach, and i didn’t mind the texture or taste. I think this is great for someone who needs a really gentle laxative or someone who isn’t concerned with it working instantaneously. Also, be sure to drink lots of water with it, as that’s how the product works and loosens the stool.

Product is effective and works as advertised. Soft chews don't taste bad, but leave weird aftertaste in my mouth and food tastes funny for a couple hours after using chews.

First off the resealable package is very convenient and nice. I wasn’t a fan of the taste or texture but it is medicine and not candy so it’s to be expected. It wasn’t bad at all either. It was edible. It worked many hours later. I would definitely recommend if you have occasional constipation. On the other hand I would not recommend if your constipation is severe and ongoing, this is not likely to help.
