Works in Mexico like a charm!
We bought this model a few weeks ago and we love it. Works great! Our only complaint is that we would love a longer battery life (lasts about 2-3 days).

Switched from Apple Watch to Bounce2
I moved away from Apple Watch and got the Bounce 2 for my daughter. One the best decisions I made. This watch FOR THIS PURPOSE (kids) is the way to go, more parents should get this for peace of mind and performance for the kids.

Beautiful but connection is not what I hoped
Aesthetically beautiful. However, the connection is terrible. I purchased for my kindergartener to use at school so we would be able to track them. As soon as they enter the school, I can no longer track, refresh, or live track. I might get lucky and it’ll refresh once or twice. I also bought my child “the tile” and I have connection through that gps so it’s not the school. The app is great, the functionality is all there just can’t use it to its full capacity if I can’t locate my child.

Text messages do not always get through. Calls are not very clear unless the person is in a really quiet environment. There should be more versatile settings, for example if there is an emergency the kid should be able to call or text even if the watch is in school mode.

Great smart watch
I bought this for my 11 year old daughter so that she can text or call us. I especially wanted it for sports practice and after school if pick up times change. It has been great so far! she is able to use it and its very simple. She likes that it tracks her activities and plays music through amazon music. She wishes it came with new watch bands. I'm still trying to figure out how to change the watch band. I like the app and its simplicity. I wish that when she texts or calls me that a notification would stay on saying "new message" or "unread message".

If your child doesn' have this you don't love them
I bought this to replace my childs Bounce 1. The Bounce 2 is a great upgrade, better design and screen. The calling option is awesome and the improvements and additions it has makes it a super watch to have. My only wish is that the battery lasted longer lime my garmin tactix.

Good Battery Life
Super helpful for having a way to get ahold of my kiddos that doesn't require a phone. It does require you purchase an additional LTE subscription but I have found the services is spotty. When they're on a recognized WiFi we add then it's reliable but outside of that we find it hard to get ahold of them, messages take a long time to send/receive and their location doesn't update very quickly. I have other friends with the watch who say they have the same experience/issues with the connection. The kids love the activity features, games and "pets". It also has a great battery life.

I use this device in turkey and we couldn’t reach lte options because of infrastructre. You may give other esim options and we can use all functions of watch.

For money, I'd expect better.
It’s hard to communicate. The speaker and mic don’t work well in crowded spaces. The exact place you may want to use the voice communication. Also, the parent controls are all or nothing. Basically, the kid can all the features or none. No customization.

Solid kids watch with a few issues
The Good - tracking is reasonably accurate while outdoors. Features on the watch are solid for a child, and the access to a very controlled app ecosystem is a plus. Controlled messaging is fantastic for kids. Battery life is pretty good, but if playing music a lot, the battery won't last a full day. If not playing music all day, the battery life is good for a day. The Bad - Tracking updates are not "live and realtime". There's some delay. So hunting a kiddo down in the neighborhood is still a bit challenging. The message functionality does work well, assuming the child is paying attention to it. Still better than nothing. LTE subscription through Garmin is the only option, I could not activate the device on my cellular plan. The Ugly - We've had struggles with device pairing and had to pair the watch with a different phone, but then the first phone lost pairing and won't sync. I don't know why I needed to pair the device with a second phone in the first place, but wound up having to fully reset and start from scratch. This needs to be managed better.

Overall happy eighth purchase
We bought tune a bounce 2 about a month ago for our son. So far it has met our expectations, there are sometimes a long delay of a couple minutes for locating though. The call and voice message parts have worked great. Our son loves it too, and has used the music function with a thumbs up, but this drains battery faster obviously. We are located in Southern Ontario if anyone is wondering. Overall, it's been a good purchase, and finding a code for 20% off is what helped us go ahead with buying.

Guys, I really miss the concept of friends in Garmin Bounce 2. I guess 9 yo kids may have some still. They may want to talk to each other to plan outside activities

Great for tracking, lacking in 2 major places.
I don’t understand how a kids watch does not have access to the store for watch faces. Especially the new Pokémon sleep ones. Do you guys not have parents working on the bounce line? Also, ~24 hours lifetime on a kids watch is too short. It should be minimum 48 in case your child forgets to charge it one night.

Great alternative to a smart phone
We love this watch. The two way messaging, location tracking, and exercise tracking are everything we need, and make for a great alternative to a smartphone. The V2 model has significantly improved battery life over the first version, which is a big help for us.
