We'd like to provide information on adjusting the settings on your toaster for your browning preference. We recommend checking the browning setting selected for toasting. You'll want to select a lower setting next time if your toast is too dark and a higher setting if your toast is too light. Also, check that the Frozen button is not selected. Additionally, it's important that the toaster is placed on a firm, level, heat resistant surface to ensure that it toast evenly.

Great buy and solid performance
I really like this toaster. It's easy to use, it has a pop up feature to get the toast out, and it toasts evenly and well. It's easy to clean and dispose of remnants of the toast. What I like is the larger sized slice feature for different kinds of bread or even a bagel. I'm pleased I bought it.

Not sure why I have terrible luck with toasters lately but I do.. The last one didn’t last 6months and so I purchased this one and same issues with this one as the last takes forever to toast one little English Muffin, unbelievable…

Heating elements are not heating up the same. The bread will be toasted more on one side of my bread so half way thru the toasting I have to flip the bread over to toast the other side the same.

Good Toaster
This GE Toaster does what you want it to....it toasts bread. The toaster has basic functions that work well. The down side is the finish, which is hard to keep clean. Every fingerprint shows. And the cord doesn't completely wrap into the base of the toaster. Considering that design flaw, I can only give this toaster 4 stars out of 5.

Toasts Bread Evenly on Both Sides

Controls are easy to read. I like that it offers a selection for frozen bread or bagels. The slots are large enough for big bagels. The toaster is attractive on my counter. I am very happy with the purchase of this toaster.

Uneven toast
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this toaster to match our other kitchen appliances. It’s not the worst toaster, but it definitely toasts unevenly. We have to stop mid toast to flip the bread around. Then the outside of the bread looks a lot darker than the bread is actually toasted. Also, the slots are kind of small. A normal piece of multigrain bread barely fits length wise.

Every other toaster I've bought previously would suddenly start burning toast; the next day the toasrwe wouldn't even toast. I am religious about cleaning crumbs because I'm aware of the fire hazard.

Warranty only 1 year?
Simple design and seems to work fine at this time. My only grip is a 1 year warranty vs the 2016 Hamilton Beach it replaced (5 year warranty)

Great Looking Toaster
