We know how important it is to easily replace your brush head, and are happy to help. To change the brush head, place the QuickRelease tool (included in the brush head package) on the neck of the toothbrush and press, then slide the brush head off. Lay the new replacement brush head parallel to the neck of the toothbrush, then slide the head towards the handle until it lock clicks into place. Check that the brush head is firmly attached. The average lifespan is approximately 4 years for our battery powered toothbrushes, Matt, and we're sorry to hear you're having charging difficulties. The lifetime of the battery itself should be sufficient for approx. 3 months, based on 2 min brushing twice a day. Additional brushing reduces the battery lifetime.
