Description

Philips Avent Anti-colic with AirFree vent bottles are designed to reduce feeding issues: such as colic, gas, and reflux. The unique AirFree vent is designed to draw air away from the nipple keeping it full of milk to avoid air ingestion. This vent also keeps the nipple full of milk even when the bottle is held horizontal, allowing for upright feeding. Feeding in an upright position can help to reduce reflux and aid in digestion. The nipple shape is designed for a secure latch for a comfortable feed. The bottle is easy to clean and assemble with few parts. The AirFree vent is only one piece and is easy to clean without any special tools. The Anti-colic bottle features a valve, integrated into the nipple, that reduces vacuum buildup and reducing air into your baby’s tummy. The Anti-colic bottle can be used with or without the AirFree vent, giving you the option based on your baby’s feeding needs. The soft silicone nipple is available in different flow rates for babies of all ages, flows 1-4. We recommend using the Philips Avent Anti-colic baby bottle with Philips Avent Anti-colic bottle nipples. Includes 3 9oz Anti-colic bottles with AirFree vent with Flow 2 nipples. SCY703/03

Q: Hi, I know you can use the natural response nipples w/ the anticolic bottle but was wondering if it works as well as the nipple that the anticolic bottle orginally comes with? Why the Difference?

submitted by Dan - 2 years ago
  • A: Hi! The Natural Response Nipple releases milk only when the baby actively drinks. An Anti-Colic nipple is designed not to collapse, for a secure latch and uninterrupted feeding.

submitted byPhilips Consumer Care - 2 years ago
  • A: Hi! The difference between the Avent Anti-Colic nipple and the Avent Natural Response nipple is that the Natural Response Nipple releases milk only when the baby actively drinks. Babies can drink, swallow, and breathe using their natural rhythm, like on the breast and it is designed to mimic the shape and feel of a breast, helping the baby to latch on and feed comfortably. An Anti-Colic nipple is designed not to collapse, for a secure latch and uninterrupted feeding.

Q: Can you use these bottles without the airfree vent piece?

submitted by JessicaS - 4 years ago
  • A: Hello! Yes, you can always use your Philips Avent Anti-colic bottle without the AirFree vent. We advise you to use the AirFree vent specifically for younger babies (<4 months) with feeding issues. The AirFree vent allows your little one to manage air intake. If your baby gets older and is able to drink from the bottle without any feeding issues, you can easily use the bottle without the AirFree vent.

It leaks the entire time it is being used, even if you close it tightly. Have been using Advents 4oz bottles and have loved them but bought these and it is a no for us.

    Best baby bottle

We have used these bottles with both our babies! I think it helps reduce excess air when drinking. A few parts to clean but so worth it. These are the only bottles that we would recommend especially if your baby has any digestive issues

    Love it

Loves these bottles for my 2nd baby. I’ve tried 3 other brands before and these have been the easiest bottle to clean with less parts especially a newborn who’s constantly eating. One of the vents did chip on me but I accidentally dropped it but I was still able to use just fine. I have NO leaking issues what so ever. Baby and I love these

DO NOT BUY IF YOU PLAN TO USE A STERILIZER

Washed these and then put them in the sterilizer, now the vent piece doesn’t sit right in the bottle. Either the air vent or the bottle rim warped in the sterilizer. We have to really push down to get the vent in place and then it is next to impossible to get back out to clean. Gave two stars because the actual shape of the bottle is great. If u don’t plan to use a sterilizer or warmer this is a decent bottle! But if you plan to use either, it can not handle the heat even though it says it can! (Read the other reviews, I am not the first person to have issues with the bottle warping after using heat)

Anti colic Air free green insert crumbling after

After two months of use, the green AntiAir insert started crumbling. This is dangerous because small pieces can get into the bottle, and the baby might swallow them. I always sterilize the bottles with Avent’s sterilizer, so this might be the reason for the crumbling.

Even if its closed properly. It leaks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I dont recommend this bottle. I prefer the Natutal bottle. This anti coloc thing causes some leaks around the nipple and the plastic holder. I would return if i could. Or excahnge it with Natiral bottle.

Hi there, Thank you for sharing your review. We’re sorry to hear that your Philips Anti-colic bottle with AirFree vent is leaking. We would like to let you know that incorrect assembly is the reason for leakage in 50% of cases. Make sure the nipple is inserted properly through the screw ring and is suitably tightened on the bottle without being overtight. Wet bottles are particularly difficult to close since they slip. Hence, it is best advised to dry the bottle before closing it. You may also follow this link for more information about how to avoid leakage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3eMWSdNP_s If these tips do not help or if you need further assistance, please reach out to us via social media on Facebook (@Philips) and X (@PhilipsCare). Alternatively, you can contact us through our website: www.Philips.com/contact. Kind regards, Philips Consumer Care

Bottle can leak if you don't close tightly and nipple hard for baby to latch. And my baby has been spitting out the formula.

    Absolutely Disgusting

The fact that I ordered these last week and got them today. One of them was used, the other has something one it. Target, if you are going to allow certain things to be returned used then it needs to be damaged out. Especially something that babies use. Absolutely disgusting
