The EZ-Squeeze bottle was designed to provide easier one-handed dosing, and we’re sharing your feedback with our product team. Extensive research and consumer testing goes into our products, however, we realize that preferences and needs can vary from person to person. If you’re using one of our EZ-Squeeze bottles, and it seems to get harder to dispense over time, there may be buildup on the opening. If so, rinse the cap with water and dry it off to remove the buildup. If you fid the bottle design is hard for you to use right from the beginning, you may want to consider instead using Dawn in our traditional bottle with the opening at the top. We appreciate that you've used Dawn for a long time, Anne. We're very sorry you're finding the Fresh Rain fragrance nauseating, and have found it to linger on your dishes. Extensive research and consumer testing goes into our product features, and our dish soaps are tested to be safe when used as directed. Since this scent is making you feel nauseated, we recommend that you discontinue use of this fragrance. If you're interested in an unscented option, we recommend our Dawn Free & Clear Fragrance-Free dish soap. When the soap scent lingers on your dishes, there could be a few potential causes for this happening. Over time, dish soap buildup can accumulate on dishes. Also, if you have hard water, it can interfere with the effectiveness of the soap and leave behind residue. For best results, add about 2 tablespoons of dish soap to the sink, then add water that’s 105-115°F. We don't recommend leaving to soak long term, but to wash promptly, and rinse the dishes thoroughly with clean water. However, by soaking them in hot water with a bit of distilled white vinegar added to it, you should be able to remove the scent. We hope it helps to know, a lack of suds does not mean the product is not cleaning your dishes. Even if there are very few suds, the solution will continue cleaning the dishes. Using a scouring pad or washing a lot of extra greasy dishes can make the suds disappear more rapidly. To increase the amount of suds, use water that is 105°F to 115°F (40.56°C to 46.11°C), and add the dishwashing liquid to the sink before adding water. We don’t expect the fragrance of Dawn to stick around as you’ve shared. However, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous, it is possible. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous and should be washed with extra care.Don’t soak these dishes, but immediately wash and rinse them thoroughly. To remove the smell, soak the affected dishes in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added to it.Give one of our versions of Dawn Free & Clear a try, as they have the lightest scent, and may be the best option for you.
