TRU Large Capacity Conical Burr Grinder

If I had known this model did not have a cup setting.I would have purchased one that did. It's a great little grinder.It's a guessing game.How many seconds relating to how many cups...

I bought a first one, the lights keep blinking. Never worked. I returned it, get an other one. Works fine. Let see for how long! So far I'm satisfied

Pros: 1. quiet... definitely more quiet than other brands of similar price range... not loud at all 2. fine tuned ground selection and easy to change with a twist 3. very easy and fairly mess-free grounds collection cup for pouring into a filter 4. compact size... fits neatly behind stuff on counter 5. attractive look Cons: 1. you have to SHAKE IT EVERY TIME to get the beans to fall down into the spinning burr grinder... the hopper isn't shaped like a cone like most grinders and this results in beans settling horizontally and not responding to gravity enough. This puts this item into a FAIL score 2. the timer makes zero sense... the default 10 seconds barely makes enough for a single serve, and there is no way to change the default to what works for you... this means you have to change the timer EVERY SINGLE TIME you want coffee that's 2 cups or more... it would make much more sense to have a physical setting (not digital) that stays the same as you like it 3. it beeps, which is also another option you cannot turn off. I can HEAR the grinder when it stops, I don't need a mandatory beeping sound

I ordered this a month ago. It will grind and then stop, I have to take it apart and clean it out then it will work a short time. The last use, I cleaned it out, following the directions using the brush, wiping out and cleaning the blade area with a towel, and now the unit just blinks. It will not reset to use. The manual offers no assistance on this.

I didnt think it would change the taste as much as it did! Fresh ground coffee from this TRU Large Capacity Burr Grinder beats out any brand of pre-ground coffee, no questions asked. it is user friendly (meaning my bone head self could work it no problem) and has made drinking coffee completely different from before.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First time using a grinder very interesting. It is noisy. I will say it gives you different options of coarseness for the coffee beans. You can make a huge amount at a time but you have to be careful on overflowing. I will say the coffee does taste a little bit different when freshly ground compared to others.

I love that you can select your desired coarseness and grind time. The stainless steel burrs grind the beans to perfection. You can remove the ground bin for easy transport. The large removable hopper holds up to 20 oz and also has a UV blocking tint to maintain freshness. Digital countdown shows how much grind time is left. Easy removable burrs for cleaning.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the TRU burr grinder for about 3 weeks now and it has served me well. I've used it a few times to create a fine grind (for V60) but mostly on a coarse setting for French Press. The machine grinds fairly evenly for its price point. The only hang up I have is that the timer resets to 10 seconds every time you use it. I need 12 seconds so I have to manually start it over or press the time a few times to get the exact amount, every time. Since I use it multiple times a day for two people, it does get tiring. The machine also tilts back when you press the buttons because it's so light. Because of this, you have to hold it with two hands to keep it in place while you make your selections with the buttons.

So I got this little grinder and bought so beans of my favorite coffee and tried it out. It really does make a difference. The coffee has a richer and fuller flavor. I have a French press , expresso machine, regular drip coffee and a couple of different pods machines. This is the perfect addition to my coffee bar. I love being able to grind my own beans because I have all these different coffee makers. You can smell the aroma from the coffee beans. It’s easy to use and easy to keep clean and makes your coffee the freshest it can get. I 100% recommend it.

Like that can put a small bag in here and grind for days and doesnt even take up that much more room. It's relatively quiet, easy to use and not messy. Happy with all the settings to get very fine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've owned several coffee grinders, and this one is towards the top of the pack. They all make noise...but this one is reasonably quite and does not have much vibration. It is solidly built and super easy to use. Just plug it in, fill the hopper, turn the top to your preference, set the time (comes preset to 10 seconds) and press go! It does seem to grind a bit slower and you have to turn it more towards "fine" to get my to my preferred consistency. One annoyance... when adjusting the time, you adjust one 10th of a second at a time. So you to push the button a lot to switch between cup quantities. You should be able to hold the button in and go into " fast" mode (like setting an alarm clock) It also came with 2 black plastic rings...No idea what they are? No mention on the box or in the instructions and they do not seem to fit this grinder. Other than that, it is a well made solid and attractive grinder!
