Q: More interested in cleaning the water reservoir to prevent mold and bacteria. Will this kit clean that?

A: Yes! Depending on the mineral content of your water, calcium deposits or scale may build up in your coffee maker. Scale is non-toxic but if left unattended can hinder the coffee maker's performance. Regularly descaling your coffee maker every 3-6 months helps maintain the heating element, and other internal parts that come in contact with water. We hope this information is helpful.

A: Hi Lenny, a cleansing brew is simply brewing water through your Keurig coffee maker without a K-Cup pod in place. Letting it rest for 30 minutes means to let the coffee maker sit for 30 minutes with the descaling solution in the machine to let it descale properly. We hope this helps!

Ordered what I didn't need

Don’t buy it
Purchased this kit to descale my newer Keurig brewer when the “descale” light came on. I followed directions exactly but the descale light would not turn off. Contacted Keurig and was told the descaling solution was not the right solution. I am receiving a new Brewer from Keurig.

A geat kit for cleaning a brewer.
This kit is a good addition to your brewer as it has a bottle of descale solution and 2 water filters, and 2 rinse pods for removing scale in the water tank and keeping the water fresh and clean. This kit wil last for 3 months between cleanings. I use it every time the brewer needs to be cleaned.The rinse pods help keep the needles clean and free of grounds, which is great. I recommend this kit to help maintain a brewer and insure a trouble free brewing cycle.

I needed to pull apart the label on the descaling bottle for directions and determine which Keurig I have. Then look up how to put the Keurig in descale mode before descaling. Worked great at removing buildup.

Has not worked properly after 1 month
I have tried to contact the company with the email I was given and have not been able to do so. Keurig has a mind of its own and only wants to brew 4oz. has to be unplugged to try to get it to reset itself. This is the last one I will ever buy. Not able to contact anyone. Have had this Keurig from December. Would need to have it replaced.
