Expencive, but WELL worth it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Philips electric toothbrushes for over 40 years. The Prestige 9900 HX9900 is an amazing upgrade for brushing your teeth, as long as the app syncs correctly. The app works very well when it syncs; I don't know if it's me or the app that is having trouble. Time will tell. The Philips quality is there, and the ergonomics are very good also. Without the app, it gets the brushing job done very well. The brush heads that are offered are excellent. Still learning what to do and how it works. Bottom line, it's better than the one it replaced; I have to learn how to use it.

Bad sonic tooth brush
Bad experience - less than 1 year spoilt - get a new replacement - the new replacement less than 1 year spoilt again and not able to get any replacement as the warranty based on 1st year warranty - don’t see Philips sonic tooth brush giving such sustainable products to be used - shouldn’t the warranty should be based on new replacement - gave up arguing with customer care

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re very sorry to hear that you experienced issues with both your original Sonicare toothbrush and the replacement unit, and that the replacement also stopped working in less than a year. We understand how frustrating and disappointing this must be, especially when you expected a longer-lasting product. We also understand your concerns regarding the warranty process and why you would expect a replacement product to provide a better long-term experience. We’d like to look into your case further and see how we can help. When you have a moment, please reach out to us directly via Facebook/Instagram (@Philips) or on X (@PhilipsCare). If you don’t use social media, you can also contact us through our support page: https://www.usa.philips.com/c-w/support-home/support-contact-page Thank you again for your feedback, it’s important to us and helps us improve. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, great toothbrush. A cleaning like being at the dentist. The downside is the mess it can make in and around ones sink from the splatter. Be prepared.

Very good but with intensity problem
The toothbrush operates well. I like that it's easy to clean and the power button doesn't get blocked like it used to. The only issue is that the intensity setting sometimes resets itself. You have to keep an eye on it and reset it.

High Price, but Best on the market
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this toothbrush. I deducted 2 stars for the high price, the durability (my old one broke after 4 years), and lack of repair capability (tried to get the broken one repaired, but Philips said that wasn't possible). With those caveats, I love the way it cleans my teeth. When it's running, I believe it's the best on the market. That's why I keep buying even with the high price.

Very nice features!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the toothbrush and feature of too much movement and pressure notification. I wish the app was more accurate on re-brushing missed areas

Excellent toothbrush, app could be better.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the toothbrush since it makes my teeth feel cleaner Everytime I brush. I do wish the app showed individual teeth cleaning and not just a portion of my jaw that's cleaned. This way I can see which teeth I'm not cleaning as well. Other than that, great toothbrush.

Better than the dentist
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose a 4 Star rating because everytime I use it, I feel like I just let the dentist office. The power of the bristles slung my toothpaste across the room. I love the app. The app shoes you where to brush better at. Where you brush to hard, and more. The app can even automatically order you new toothbrush heads. I recommend this toothbrush to everyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the toothbrush, but the app is inconsistent. The app feedback does not pick up on seemingly the same areas. Very annoying. I bought this new model hoping to solve the same problem with my previous Sonicare. It did not. Years ago, I rarely had this problem. Now, I am shock when it works correctly. Very disappointing considering me upgrading at a considerable cost.

Going strong 4 years later
We love our toothbrush. My wife and I both purchased one and wouldn’t have it any other way. We’ve had our brushes for over 4 years and the battery remains strong. We get constant great feedback from our dentist as well. It gives instant feedback on speed of brushing, pressure to help you brush just right. I will say coming from a manual brush understanding proper techniques to brush with took a while but with the app and tips it was so great. I would encourage anyone on the fence to go for it. It will be a great investment for your oral health.

The issue is poor quality.
In many ways, I love this toothbrush. Yes, it's expensive, but the design is great. The problem is quality. My first broke within 12 months - basically, when I tried to replace the brush, the metal rod to which it attaches came away from the handle. I'm writing this review since a closely-related problem happened with my second one. This time, the material used to attach that metal rod to the handle is no longer solid but has become almost a gel. This means the neck of the toothbrush wobbles at the slightest touch making it unusable. I really wanted this toothbrush to work, but it's now a case of "fool me twice, shame on me".

Intensity keep going to low
Intensity will not stay on high. I have the adaptive setting turned off and it still goes to low. Even had it replaced, and it’s the same thing. I’m disappointed in the unit and regret spending so much money on it.

Hi there, We are sorry to hear about your experience and thank you for bringing this to our attention. Please unpair or check the Sonicare app (it can override intensity), make sure you’re using a genuine brush head fully seated, fully charge the handle, wipe and dry the metal shaft and handle top to clear debris/moisture, then power the handle off/on and test. If it still drops to low, please consider reaching out to us via one of our social media channels. We are available 24/7 on Facebook, Instagram @Philips or X @PhilipsCare. Great for Brushing and Tracking
I've returned to this brand after using another for quite some time and still favor this one over the other brand. You can feel the sonic power when brushing. I did have to reinstall the brush as I had some problems initially getting the tracking to work on the application. But has been working quite nicely since bluetooth reinstall.
