What happened? Rotten smell Spoiled or reformulated?
Have been using this for years and getting this from Target. The last few orders, this has had a car strong chemical smell and foul odor. The liquid also appeared to be darker and brownish/pinkish and not clear.

Best laundry detergent out there! Although branded towards workout gear, we use Hex because it’s a clean product. I’ve tried several other clean detergents that just don’t compare. I also use this around the house for cleaning. I add it to clean my carpets and everything is fresh smelling and clean. It doesn’t cover or mask odors. I also use this on our dogs bedding and no stink!! Only downfall is I wish it were sold in stores still as it’s often out of stock. Also there’s more product line up on the Hex website. Would like it if target carried the full line up.

Smells like rotten broccoli.
The worst smell ever. Smells like rotting food. Contacted Hex directly and they sent a replacement which still smelt terrible (but not as bad.) Foolishly tried washing my clothes with it thinking it would still work, and smell would dissipate in wash. Nope. Stench is stuck in clothing. After reading RECENT online reviews, it seems others experienced this problem after HEX changed their formula. DO. NOT. BUY.

Unscented Smells Like Rotton Eggs
I have used Hex Unscented for 2 years and loved it. The last 2 bottles I received smells like rotton eggs or rotton cheese. I am seeing a lot of similar complaints online, too. I cannot use this detergent anymore. I wish they would go back to their original formula.

Great detergent
This is a great detergent for sportswear. However, since they stopped carrying it in store I have had to purchase home delivery, and two times the detergent was "lost in transit" and the reorders eventually arrived but were leaking. FedEx even had to repackage the box and delayed delivery even more. target needs to figure out a better way to ship items like this so they do not leak.

Amazing for odor removal and for sensitive skin + noses!
I have sensitive skin and am also very sensitive to smells (both of detergents and things like BO). This detergent has been a game changer; it saved a few wool/spandex blend shirts that I never thought I’d get the smell out of. It has a very faint scent, but as someone who has never been able to handle anything but the blandest free and clear detergents, I don’t find it bothersome at all. I wish it was in stock more frequently!

Changed my entire laundry experience
Like others have said, I will never use regular detergent again. It really does what they say it does—gets rid of that lingering mix of deodorant and bacteria and sweat that always starts to smell after a half hour of wearing something that you *thought* was clean. Underwear, athletic wear, underarms of shirts, socks, all like new, so I just use it for everything. I combine it with the pre-treat Hex spray on especially sweaty areas (i.e. underwear) for extra insurance. I can’t understand why all detergents are not made like this one now.

Hex is my exclusive brand!
I had volunteered to clean uniforms that had been turned in for a resale at a parochial school. The uniforms were stinky after washing with regular detergent. I purchased HEX to wash many loads of wash and the uniforms were much cleaner and fresher smelling. Now I use exclusively for all my personal clothing, sheets and towels.

Love the Fragrant Free Hex
This is effective at washing away unpleasant smell out of my running clothes. I started using it about a year ago and the clothes I've washed with it don't stink when I sweat and I started doing all my laundry with HEX now! The only negative I'd say is that it's not great at removing stains so I pre-treat stains before throwing them into the machine. And lastly I really appreciate HEX has the fragrant free option - my kids all have sensitive skin & allergies so I cannot use anything with frangrance or dye in it.
