A: I bought this to keep squirrels off an outdoors bird feeder. I doused the top of the feeder and its support pole with spray. It did not work at all in that case. However, the feeder smells nice.

This product will have some impact on squirrels, but we find that in an outdoor setting, they are often able to overcome their dislike of the peppermint smell when there is food involved. It could be worth a try, but I would not use the spray as the primary method of protection.

Strong peppermint smell, but doesn’t keep mice away. I bought this to put in our seasonal park model under the tub enclosure where occasionally I find evidence of a mouse. I soaked cotton balls in a small plastic container and placed under tub enclosure. I checked a few weeks later on our next stay, the the cotton balls were shredded and a mouse peed and pooped in the container.

I like the product. We spray it outside every couple of days to keep the squirrels out of our yard. Last year, a squirrel tore up two of the cushions on our patio furniture. We purchased a new patio set and we spray this product every couple of days and guess what. We haven't had any squirrels in our yard and our new patio furniture is still intact. We have actually been able to enjoy our yard and patio furniture!

Do not buy. I sprayed in the areas where they were and it was a strong odor of peppermint. It caused the mice to create a hole at the bottom of my dishwasher. If you are able, get pest control.

A winter neccesity

Waste of time and money.
Other than a few squirrels this didn’t deter a thing. We had plenty of chipmunks, squirrels, a skunk, and a groundhog. It Wasn’t until I used this product that I’ve now attracted a large mouse to my yard. I’ve reapplied every other day. They go right to that spot. Use Lysol it’s better !!!
