A great improvement over the toaster we had prior to this. Cooks evenly on the entire piece of bread, no dark spots next to white.

It has wide slots and this is a big plus for me, because it can fit things like bagels, thick bread and even Texas toast. It toast great on both sides which not all toasters do. The settings are good and they work every time. I can get my bread as crispy as I want it to be. It looks very nice on my counter and it does not take up much space. The lever feels strong and one of my favorite features is that you can lift up the bread to check it's progress without stopping the toasting. This is a great buy if you're looking for a toaster that can accommodate bigger pieces of bread that functions well all around.

Expected a better quality made product from Cuisinart, very disappointed. Cheaply made (plastic) and did not look like it would last long, lever to push down - was low quality and would have broken in a short time. Sad to say the packing was done better than the product inside. Features were lacking for the price paid & it appeared to be a disposal product, not to last long ... sent it back right away.

The slots are wide and were able to fit the large slices of sourdough we often toast. The toast was evenly cooked and I appreciated the fact that I could check how toasted the bread was without interrupting the toasting time. The removable crumb tray was great and made for easy cleaning. I will say I felt the toaster’s casing and knobs felt a bit cheaper and less solidly built. The function of the toaster is great but I am not sure how it will hold up long-term. Overall, I do really like this toaster and can see myself using it frequently in the future.

My family eats a lot of larger toastable items like bagels, extra large english muffins, etc. and fitting them into a regular sized toaster is always a hassel. This toaster is PERFECT for large bagels and texas toast type of bread slices. I am thrilled with how even it toasts as well as the ease of use of the buttons. My 11 year old is very confident with using it on his own as well. Of course the brand exudes quality as well. All and in all highly recommended!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family and I have really enjoyed this toaster! First, I absolutely love that it's so easy to take out and clean the crumb tray. There are 7 different shade settings, perfect for the different toasting preferences of my family. So far, we've defrosted and toasted waffles, which turned out great. We've also toasted bread and bagels. All to our own liking, and we've all enjoyed how they have turned out. It also did well toasting our homemade thick-cut sourdough easily. Love it!

It is easy to switch the darkness that you want your bread toasted. The slots are very thick and able to toast thick sliced stuff. Toaster seems very good quality. I also like the color as well because it’s not the same boring, black or chrome colored. The toaster is slim in my opinion and doesn’t take up a lot of room on the counter either.

I really like the extra large slots that allow for large bagels or Texas toast. The heat temps seem to be perfect so not to burn the food. The design is sleek and I like the color it goes well with any decor. This is not to large so fits well in the cabinet when done. I really don’t have any negative feedback on this toaster my who family love it.

The bagel button selects the outer toasting panels, so it took me a moment to understand which direction to face my bagel for toasting. Once I figured that out my bagels come out perfectly toasted on the cut side and warm and soft on the outside. This toaster has a defrost feature which is perfect for when I freeze bread and want to thaw iut a couple slices quickly. There is a cancel button which stops the toasting which is super handy. The shade dial determines the toasting level. There is a 30 second toast button for a super quick toast, so if you only want 30 seconds of heat or decide it needs thirty seconds more toasting than you originally thought. The extra large toasting slots are perfect for thick slices of bread and bagels. Lastly the crumbs tray is removable and slides right out for easy clean! Can't say enough good about this toaster, thank you for the opportunity to try this product

I was so tired of pushing my bagels in and having them get over cooked in my small toaster, this one has some roomy slots to fit bagels and even fresh bread slices. I also like bagel button and defrost button that works really good for frozen waffles.

It has settings for defrost,bagels and even single slices. To pop the toast simply push the button in the center of the temperature dial. This toaster holds artisnal breads cut to custom sizes, Texas toast and Belgian waffles with no problem. It's easy to clean the crumb tray holds alot without leaking crumbs like my former toaster. I replaced my 4 slot stainless steel toaster for this Cuisinart XL Toaster because I kept getting burned on the stainless steel reaching over it but this new Cusinart XL has a case that stays cool to the touch. Overall this is the best toaster I have ever used if it had 4 slots it would be perfect.

The XL part itself is great in that you can more easily toast homemade and uniquely shaped breads without part of the bread sticking out of the slot. I also like the add 30 seconds function. There is a single slice option as well, though I'm not sure that it was working as expected - but this is a minor point.
