Step 1. Sweep the Claw Brush outwards to stretch lashes to corners. Step 2. Do not let mascara dry in between coats. Step 3. Easily remove mascara with Maybelline Expert Eyes 100% Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover.

The ONLY mascara I will ever use!
Like many others, my mom passed the Maybelline mascara gauntlet to me. She started me on the classic pink and green tube and it was my staple until I found this one. It’s PERFECT. The classic, foolproof Maybelline formula but with this curved brush it curls, fans, and separates my eyelashes like nothing else (I tried many other mascaras before accepting that my mom was right). I’ve seen it low in stock or gone from some stores and I will be DEVASTATED if it gets discontinued forever. PLEASE TRY IT AND PLEASE MAYBELLINE KEEP MAKING IT!!!

A classic gone awry
This has been the only mascara I’ve used for probably a decade. I’ve noticed within the last year or so that the wand seems to have changed as well as the formula. The bristles on the wand feel very rough during application and the mascara itself dries out incredibly fast. I find that I’m having to purchase a new tube every 2-3 months because the performance becomes atrocious- lots of clumps and flaking. Going to have to switch to a new mascara and that makes me very sad.

Poor quality wand
I have been using this mascara for years. I’ve always loved it but in the last few years I have noticed a decrease in quality of the wand. I opened a new tube last week and this morning, the cap snapped right off the wand with no pressure from me. I luckily had a brand new mascara in the packaging so I opened it and while trying to get the product onto the wand, the same thing happened. Two brand new, $8 mascaras - both trash because the wand is broken off inside of them. How ridiculous!

Okay I just could not get this mascara to do what I wanted it to do. I wouldn't say it's a bad mascara I'm just one of those people that needs mascara to blow me away when I use it the first two or three times. I'm not someone who wants to wait two or three weeks until it dries up a little bit to be perfect. Maybe that's the case with this or maybe it's just the formula is not what I expected but usually I'm used to a dryer formula especially when it comes to waterproof and curl so it just wasn't for me. But that could just be my personal preference.

NO! NO! NO! HORRIBLE Waterproof Mascara!
I'm posting this as a PSA: This a waterproof mascara is the absolute WORST mascara I've tried in my life! Paid what I thought to be an ample amount of money for a mascara to wear to a special event. I read the claims and compared to others at the store. I ended up looking ridiculous, especially since I took time and care in product choice and application to look my very best. Smudges under my eyes. How can this be called waterproof if it doesn't even stay on with normal wear? I couldn't stand to toss it, so I wore it to work, and at the end of the day, I looked sooo tired --- once again, the dark settling under my eyes. Absolutely ridiculous! Don't waste your money. My first mascara was Great Lash and I used plenty of Maybelline over the years, so I'm not sure what in the world went wrong with this product.

Formula change? Smudging like crazy!
I love(d) this mascara and have been using for years with no complaints. The last three times I’ve purchased the waterproof it ALWAYS smudges under the eyes by the end of the day, even without sweating/eyes watering. Something has changed. So disappointed.
