It does have a strong smell that sticks around for a while so take that into account before making plans. But it’s worth it!

I like the roll-on option so I don't get it on my hands to transfer to my eyes, face, pets, etc. The active ingredient is 5% menthol, so it smells minty. Your clothes and anywhere you go will smell minty. Your neighbors will ask if you're growing mint, even if you are not. Anyway, it is very effective at temporarily relieving minor aches and pains, including backache, arthritis, bruises, sprains, and strains.

You do get a slight menthol sensation when applied, but I do not feel like it penetrates any lower than surface level. I had high hopes, but was ultimately disappointed in its effectiveness.

I've taken it with on trips and to our kids' sporting events. For them and for us after sitting all day in hard bleachers or uncomfortable chairs. You just never know when it might come in handy. The only con, like any analgesic muscle pain relieving gel, is the smell, which can be a bit too much at times. But the Quick action outweighs the con.

I’ve been using the Biofreeze Professional Roll-On for my neck and shoulder pain, and it works really well. The roll-on applicator makes it easy to use without getting gel all over your hands, and the cooling relief is almost immediate. It helps reduce soreness and relax tight muscles for a few hours. The only thing to keep in mind is that it has a strong menthol smell that lingers for a while, but it’s worth it for the relief it gives.

I have used many of these types of products in the past, but to be able to apply without getting your hands messy is a game changer. This product works very well and we buy it frequently and use it a lot. I keep one in my nightstand so if the aches hit, I can just grab, roll on, and put it back on the nightstand before going to bed. No need to get up to wash your hands. It's a must try in my opinion!

The menthol scent is nice, not too strong and doesn’t last that long. I think I like the roller ball application, but it still requires to be rubbed in and the gel does accumulate on your skin and the ball. Overall, it’s a nice product for temporary relief!
