Absolute Garbage
What a piece of junk. Does not stay tight, the right end started to snap off as I was tightening it. I didn't even bother trying to tighten it any further as I figured I'd just end up hearing it fall down in the middle of the night like other reviewers. Waste of money.

they are NOt easy to install and didn't twist onto place, they un lock; f you twist more than one time so if you twist and twist it tightens up a little then untightens.

I ordered two "48"-84" Twist and Shout Easy Install Curtain Rod Matte Black - Room Essentials™: No Drill Tension Rod, Steel" for windows that measured 58"x58". Sooooo easy to put up! It really just took an extra pair of hands and a couple of twists. Comes with an extra support for the middle, but we didn't need it at all for this size window. Where have these been all my house-decorating life????

Worked for 24 hours. They fell out of the window the day after I put them up. When I tried to reinstall them, the inside screw (which is plastic) was completely stripped. Waste of money :/

Perfect if you read the instructions
If you actually read the instructions and do all THREE steps to tighten this it works great. It took me several tries to get them up by myself (because I’m impatient) but if you wait and have one other person help it would be easy. I wanted something nice but not permanent in my older son’s (very large and empty looking) room to spruce it up. I didn’t want to drill anything because I don’t know how I’ll want the room to be in the future once he is bigger and has more opinions about his space. It’s been up for 2 days holding heavy curtains with no issues. Moral of the story: READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! So many of these bad reviews are due to user error.

Good for apartments
Using in apartment so I don’t have to drill holes. I have one that’s been hanging for four years with no issues. I recently bought a second one for another window. Both are the longer version as windows are 70” wide. I have 2 50x96” blackout curtains hanging on them so a decent amount of weight. I was able to hang them by myself however a second set of hands would’ve been helpful.

Keeps Falling & Breaking
This is the second one that’s has broken. It never stays up, even with a light curtain. It has horrible tension and the more you try, the more is strips the rod.

Do not work
I am an interior designer and thougth these would be perfect for a dorm room job. They simply do not work. Installed them, they were locked, and the 3rd time we moved the curtains, the rod fell down. The curtains were not even heavy- mid-weight linen. I read all the reviews beforehand, but incorrectly assumed people weren't reading the directions. It could be the window I used them on was 47 and the rod was 48 so there simply wasn't enough tension- but overall a very poor product- cheap and plastic. Returned- never again. Back to basics. A great concept had it actually worked.

Fantastic, no damage curtain rods!!
I was nervous about purchasing this when I read the reviews. I experienced some of the same things until I figured out the instructions were a little confusing. When following the instructions correctly and using a little ingenuity, they hang perfectly, and they're tight, and they're fantastic! Definitely recommend using grommet curtains so you can have your curtains go beyond the window frame. Just leave the last grommet out until you install the curtain and the rod and then hook the Grommet around the end! Definitely recommend! Recommend to the manufacturer to update your installation instructions eith more specific information! You should add in there that you have to unlock the rod spread the rod relock the rod really tight and then turn the end right side knob until it makes it even tighter! They left this part out! I was able to hang these by myself!
