It’s not your water, it’s culligan.
I’ve had Zero Water for seven years. I recommended it to friends, family, and co workers. Now, I’ll never recommend this product. Zero Water was bought out / changed ownership, and ever since then the filter quality has plummeted. I used to be able to buy a six pack of filters and have it last me two years. Now, a a single filter didn’t even last 24 hours. I bought a two pack last night and changed my filter out. The filter, this morning, is now reading 005. I am now seeing everyone’s latest reviews and am seeing that I’m not the only one with issues. The only change, is who owns the brand. This does not give me confidence in culligan, let alone make me want to change over to the “new” version. How can you explain a filter going bad in less than 24 hours? Truthfully, closer to 12 hours. Most of which my husband and I were asleep and not drinking water. It says that it lasts 15 gallons, it didn’t even last 32 ounces. If you’re new to zero water, please know this is not how it used to be. If you’re not new to zero water, I’d be cautious about changing to the new culligan model. If they can’t get the existing profit right, how can they deliver a new product? I am frustrated and am going to see if I can return. I will be looking at different brands for a replacement.

Zero total dissolved solids by measure
I have been using Culligan zero water for about 18 months. The water here locally has 120 to 135 total dissolve solids and zero consistently after filtration. Today it was five and gratefully new filters came. Thank you!

Filter problem
Iva head one for about two years and I love the water, won’t use any other brand. But the only complaint I have is after a couple of fills the filter will just stop filtering and I have to bang it in the counter so the air bubbles come out or dump it out and replace the water, I don’t know how,why or what makes it happen. Just very annoying when it won’t let me fully refill my water

Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. After Zero Water filters have been exhausted and have not been changed, the water produced from the filter may have a distinct smell or taste and the TDS reading may be higher than your tap water. This is a result of the water passing over the “spent” Ion Exchange Resin beads. We have gone to great lengths in reducing that taste/smell in product development however this is simply a characteristic of filtering water with a Dual-Ion Exchange system. In order to avoid a change in the taste of the water it is important to test the water regularly and change the filter when the digital meter reads 006.

Fishy taste
E These filters only last about a week. Even then, I only know it’s bad because of the awful taste and smell. It’s either fishy or sour.

Inconsistent fit/never lasts as long as advertised
I live solo, so I am the only person using this pitcher. I track my water usage and it's pretty consistent day to day. I have had filters last a little over a week to about 25 days before the water starts tasting fishy or dirty and becomes undrinkable. What's extra frustrating is that my TDS meter never reads above 000, yet the filters still go bad well before the lifespan Zerowater claims they should have. Based on my usage and tap readings, they should last longer than they do. On top of that, I have had multiple issues with filter fit in my pitcher. One filter would not attach properly on the pitcher and water spilled through, so I had to toss it. Two other filters took 3 or 4 attempts before they finally fit snug enough to not leak a lot. One filter didn't even last 9 days before the taste went bad. Between the inconsistent (and shorter than advertised) lifespan and the frequent fit issues, these filters don't feel reliable, which is unfortunate because the water tastes amazing when it actually works.

Returned as it didnt fit
Purchased for my 3 year old zero pitcher. The highlights state filters are compatible with all Zero pitchers, but it was very difficult to install which was not the case with my previous filters. When it was installed it leaked and the water purity number was 21.

Freshwater, not!
From bad to worse, very hard to remove the sticker, peeling off on the top, it used to be a blue cap. You’re just unscrew, does not fit in properly into a pitcher and the water sits there until you pour it out fill it again and if you’re lucky you’ll get some water and guess what color of the water are you going to get? This is ridiculous for that price. What is going on? They changed the name And now What ? from bad to worse.

Sat on target shelf too long
When these are brand new they’re worthwhile. I think they sat on the shop too long because they were expired. I just bought these are bad and taste terrible

If Your Filter Dies Fast,Your Water is the proble
This Isn't an Appliance; It's My Medical Equipment The Truth Other Reviews Miss: I see the complaints:"Filters only last two weeks!" "Too expensive!" I understand the frustration. But I need you to understand what that short lifespan actually means. My body is a chemical injury survivor. Childhood chemotherapy rewired my nervous system to detect toxins at levels "safe" for others. For me, tap water—and most bottled water—isn't just bad tasting; it's acutely poisonous, causing instant nueroinflamation, migraines and brain fog. ZeroWater is the only filter whose promise matches my biological reality. The TDS meter doesn't lie. When it reads "000," my body confirms it: zero inflammatory response. When my filter expires in 14 days instead of 40, that's not a complaint. That's a data point. It's a warning flare that my municipal water is loaded with dissolved solids and pollutants and the filter is doing its job protecting me. Yes, it's expensive. I have to budget for it like a medical supply. But what is the price of a clear-headed day? What is the value of being able to think without pain or not having a systemic inflammatory response? For me, and for anyone living with autoimmune, MCAS, or chemical injury, this isn't a luxury. It's non-negotiable life support. To the company: Don't shy away from this. You aren't just selling a water pitcher. You are selling the only reliable barrier millions of us have against a progressively toxic environment. Market to us—the canaries in the coal mine. We are your most credible witnesses. To potential buyers: If your filter clogs fast, be alarmed—but not at ZeroWater. Be alarmed at what's in your pipes. This device is telling you the truth your body hasn't started screaming yet. Listen to it.

I'm done too
These filters only last a couple weeks before water starts to taste fishy. Also lots of carbon particles floating in reservoirs. I am the only one in home. For the price of these filters they should last alot longer!

I’m done
Been buying these for years and the combo of the ridiculous price and the honest fact that these don’t last nearly as long as they used to—I’m done. Not sure what happened over the years but you’ve lost my business.

Problem with filters
We’ve been using Zero Water Filtration system for years and it worked well. But started having some major problems with filters in the last few months. They are not working effectively like they used to. New filters are giving me a reading of 6ppm. And then quickly rising. I returned a box. Bought a new box and the exact same thing happened. Time to move on to a new product.
