Great upgrade from an old unit
Replaced a 20+ year old (maybe older) 655 unit. This new one was a perfect fit. Size was the exact same, so installation was very easy. We have a small bathroom, so this heats the room very well. Lighting is great, especially the options to change the warmth color. Exhaust works great, didn't have any excessive moisture on the walls, mirror, or ceiling after a shower.

Only Lasted 2.5 years
Installed in June 2023. It completely went out in Nov 2025.

Short life span I guess
Installed about 2 years ago and worked well for awhile. Only used heater a handful of times over that time but the other day when I turned it in it smelled like an electrical fire and then heater, fan, and light all stopped working.

Terrible fan with intake fan making rattling noise
This fan should be recalled. The intake fan causes a loud noise when cover is attached. It is already installed and can’t return it . Obviously there are others that have the same issue. Why do selling this product!

Faulty Heater
I had an electrician install this as a replacement for an older Broan, as the heating went out on that one after a few years of use. I was taking a shower with the heat on and it suddenly went out, and now won't turn back on. I checked the wire connections and still won't turn on. This was only 3 days after I started using it.

Has a short life
Great light and worked great heating the bathroom....until the heater started making noise. "Sounds like a garbage disposal that ate a spoon." Heater/Light assembly didn't even make it two years.

Heater isn’t what it should be, lighting is good.
Disappointed with the heater, my old Broan was better. Happy with the lighting. Overall not impressed

Not enough heat....
After installation, the heat does not come out that hot. It comes out sort of luke warm. Is there a way to increase the temperature of the heat being blown out??

PAIN IN THE BUTT TO INSTALL
DIFFICULT TO INSTALL. I'D RECOMMEND ADDING INSTALLATION VIDEOS TO YOUR WEBSITE TO HELP OLDER PEOPLE INSTALL EASIER. I'D ALSO RECOMMEND INCLUDING THE LIGHT BULB NEEDED FOR THIS PRODUCT AS WELL AS THE RECOMMENDED SWITCH DESCRIPTION. FOR FUTURE BUYERS BE WARE IT TAKES AWHILE TO INSTALL, IT'S HARD TO INSTALL, YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE YOUR OPERATING SWITCH SEPARATELY, AS WELL AS YOUR LIGHT BULB FOR THIS PRODUCT.

am hoping to retrofit existing bath vent / light combo with a unit that includes heater. does the heater feature require an additional power source?

this says the light is dimmable... BUT the dimmer switch is not included...well how in the heck am i going to dimm it???

Hi bob2727bob, Thank you for your review of model BHFLED80. The LED for this unit is Dimmable and may be used as a nightlight, however, the dimmer switch is not included. We do not include the controls with most of our units as every application is different and we leave the consumer the option of selecting which control is most suited to their needs. Works great! I read the other review, The guy that left the bathroom door open and tried to heat the bathroom? really! these small heaters are designed for small spaces, if you leave the door open that allows more and more unconditioned air into the space. It would be like trying to cool your house by leaving the refrigerator door open, Ya jack wagon!!
