Stop the beeping!
The beeping sound when toast is ready should have a turn-off option. It's very annoying. And we wish the toaster would accomodate longer pieces of bread and dislike the smaller size limit. But it looks good, at least.

4 slice toaster
The first time I used the toaster, I tested all four slots at once. One slice came out burned on one side and perfect on the other side. One slice came out less than the medium I chose. The other two slices came out way darker than the medium setting. I also found that the darkness selector would change too easily with movement of the toaster, ie, moving it to the storage location. Overall, it works way better the Cuisinart one I replaced.

Perfect for us!

Burns bread
Can't get a good looking piece of toast from this toaster. Goes from lightly toasted to burnt. Nothing in between. I did not expect this from a kitchen aid appliance.I do not recommend this toaster.

Favorite toaster ever!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 4 slice toaster is by far the best toaster I have ever used. It evenly toasts the bread on both sides. It makes a beep when it's done toasting which is nice because sometimes I get distracted when waiting for my bread to toast. I have gone through like 4 different toasters and this is the only one that toasts my thick wheat bread evenly.

4 slice toaster 5 years old
bought this toaster 5 years ago. The only thing we don't like about it is it is SO slow at toast ing bread. It looks great on the counter with my other red appliances and cleans up easy and fast with pull out drawers to catch crumbs. Manual lift is nice for short bread pieces or halves. Haven't had a problem with it eveer in 5 yearsm, except the slow toasting-because of that I would not recommend this toaster-maybe we "got a lemon".

Nice Toaster
This replaced another big name 4 slice toaster. The browning dial allows for just the right amount of browning for each pair. It works well for single slices too. Bagels are browned on the inside and chewy on the outside. I would definitely purchase this item again. Chose the red to match my KitchenAid bowl lift mixer and my KitchenAid coffee bean grinder, which is amazing as well. Three KitchenAids, three winners. Keep up the good work KitchenAid!!
