Active ingredients

in each teaspoon: psyllium hydrophilic mucilloid (6 g).

Purpose

Purpose: Laxative.

Uses

For relief of occasional constipation and to induce regularity. This product generally produces bowel movements within 12-72 hours.

Allergy alert

Inhaled or ingested psyllium powder may cause an allergic reaction in people sensitive to psyllium.

Ask a doctor before use if

Ask a doctor before use if you have noticed a sudden change in bowel habits that persists over a period of 2 weeks.

Stop use and ask a doctor if

you experience rectal bleeding or fail to have a bowel movement, as these may be signs of a serious condition.

Keep out of reach

In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

Do not use

when abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting are present unless directed by a doctor, if constipation lasts more than seven days, if you have difficulty swallowing.

Directions

Mix this product with at least 8 ounces (a full glass) of water or other fluid. Taking this product without enough fluid may cause choking. See choking warning.

Adults and Children 12 Years and Over:

One teaspoon 1 to 3 times daily.

Children 6 to Under 12 Years of Age:

1/2 teaspoon 1 to 3 times daily. Follow with additional fluid to aid product action, before or after meals, mornings or evenings.

Children Under 6 Years of Age:

Consult a doctor.

Other information

Each 6 g dose contains: potassium 50 mg. Laxatives, including bulk fibers, may affect how other medicines work, wait 1-2 hours before or after taking other medicines. Tamper-evident bottle mouth sealed for your protection. Do not use if imprinted inner seal is broken or missing. Do not discard Konsyl into any plumbing system. Store below 86 degrees F (30 degrees C). Keep container tightly closed - protect from excessive moisture. Can be taken before or after meals, mornings or evenings.

Amazing!!!

Sadly, this product has elevated lead levels. Why does this company not test it's product? Or, if they do, they are hiding the results. Stay away.

Finer texture is less effective

I have used Konzyl Pysllium Fiber for years with excellent results and have recommended it to friends. In my opinion it was a 5 star product until the recent texture change. I felt the that the new finer textured product was less effective. I went online and others felt the same way.

Something indeed has changed

Here's another decade long user of this product that too is unhappy with the recent obvious change to the formula. Surely this was done for either a cost savings somehow and/or an effort to increase the customer base. I noticed immediately, while trying to get a scoop out of the pointlessly narrower pouch that both the taste was different and that it had zero "grit" like the previous formula. If this is responded to at all by the folks that monitor these comments for the company the response will be that nothing has change but you cannot argue with countless customers like myself who have posted comments here and other places. And I too am experiencing changes that I would rather not be because of this change. Thanks! Now I am off to Reddit to see what others have found as a substitute.

Overpriced and ineffective

I tried this as a “cleaner” alternative to Metamucil. Not only was it ineffective - it’s incredibly difficult to mix with liquid, so it’s extremely unpleasant and chunky/gritty when drinking it. Feel like I wasted my money.

100% pure!

I am so grateful to have found a clean 100% psyillium husk. I have an allergic reaction to Metamucil as it gives my abdomen an itchy rash about 15 min after I drink it, and I think it’s from the added ingredients Metamucil has. I love Konsyl and have been a loyal customer for a year now! It is a game changer for my IBS and my cholesterol as well!

How about a “no scoop” version?

I’m not really sure if it’s helping my digestion or my cholesterol levels, but I’ve been using this every day and I finally gotten used to it. I really wish the company would offer a version that does not contain the wasteful plastic scoop. It’s just more plastic. I can use a spoon.

Love the product, but really do not like the new formula. It's too powdery and does not breakdown in the shaker. I now have a love/hate relationship with Konsyl as I struggle with the texture of the powder consistency. Please consider going back to the previous formual.

I have used the product for DECADES,, it has CHANGED. The new bag (with the scooper enclosed) is a different formula and NOT NEARLY as effective. PLEASE GO BACK to the past formula.

Change in Formula!

Hard to close and seal.

I have been enjoying this product for years, and I like the new finer grind and included scoop. However, the changes have come with something different regarding the ziplock seal mechanism. They are no longer easy to close even after brushing both sides to ensure there isn't any powder clogging the components. Sometimes, I can get it to seal with great effort, but mostly, not. Please go back to the previous version that worked. Please! Have your package designer folks actually try to use it, maybe then you can find an improvement.

I loved your original formula and used it for many years. This new, finer grind bubbles up in the glass and in my stomach, giving me bloating. I can’t use it. Please go back to the original grind!!!!
