Q: Your Tide Free and Clear HE says it is now 84 fl. oz. and it does 64 loads. I used to purchase 92 fl. oz. and it also said 64 poads. Is the product now somehow stronger?

  • A: While the volume of the Tide Free and Clear HE detergent has been reduced from 92 fl. oz. to 84 fl. oz., the formula has been updated to maintain the same cleaning power per load. This means the detergent is more concentrated, so you’ll need less liquid per load to achieve the same level of cleaning as before. Essentially, the product is stronger and more efficient, allowing you to still get 64 loads from the smaller volume

Q: Is the 156 fluid ounces HE also? it is not on the top of the container did they just forget to put it there. I would like to know if it is also High Efficiency the 156 fluid ounce?

  • A: I called my local store and asked them to verify whether the 154 oz version (DPCI: 003-08-0159) is in fact High Efficiency (HE). They verified that it is HE. The person I spoke with said the HE logo is on the bottle — admittedly, I haven't yet purchased so I'm verifying this second hand.

    Wrong detergent for new top loading washer.

    I said no substitutes and tide free and gentle HE was delivered. I do not have a front loading machine so I use the Tide free and gentle regular detergent.

    The cleaning power of Tide without dyes or perfumes

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who breaks out into hives from most perfumes, soaps, and detergents, Tide Free and Clear hit all the marks for me. I normally use regular Tide for my laundry since childhood because other detergents irritate my skin, and this dye and fragrance free version was just as effective at cleaning some of my dirtiest laundry without any heavy perfumes. I ran my wash cycle like normal and the detergent dissolved beautifully and left no residue on my clothes (soap stains are the BANE of my existence), and my laundry was as fresh as ever. At the same value as regular Tide, I will definitely be repurchasing as my go-to detergent!

    Clean clothes, no spots!!!!

    Used to buy the Original liquid, no more. Not only I dislike the smell of the scent they changed but also I recently read online that the fragrances are toxic and not good to have. Switching over to this was night and day. I wish I would've done it sooner because this is the best detergent I've ever used by far from Tide. I'd like to try out the powder version because supposedly those never expire unlike the liquid and pods.
