    Broke within 6 months

    Bought this in September, and in March is leaking from the bottom (clear water). I have a water softner, and a whole house water filter so I don't believe corroding is the issue here. I'm not sure how this happened, but I'm extremely disappointed with this company I had high views of, prior to this experience. While I did use it, coffee grounds would get into coffee during brewing which was also disappointing. I had to come up with a coffee filter process to hold the keep the grounds sandwiched between 2 filters, so I didn't end up with grounds in my cup.

    Purchased this online because it stated it stayed on for 4 hours after brewing; it only stays on for 2. Disappointed there, but other than that, standard coffee maker. It does seem to make a pretty good "gurgling" sound while brewing in the morning. Setting the time and delay brew are simple. It was a great price to replace my other pot that quit.

    Mr Coffee is planned obsolescence - breaks in months.

    Our 2nd Mr Coffee maker in a yr and dead in 6 months. They've made these so shoddy. We took our ancient coffee maker made in the 80s and it still works, just doesn't have the automatic cut off. Won't be buying any more Mr. Coffee products.

    It makes decent coffee, but the design is terrible. Condensation from inside the lid pours out when it is opened. It drips down inside the filter chamber, drips onto the hearing element and inside the body. I'm sure continued use is going to damage the electronics inside the body. It is as if no one tested the product prior to offering it to the public. This coffee maker is 1 1/2 months old, and is now sitting in the garbage can. I will never by another Mr. Coffee product.

    The element in this coffee pot died today. I purchased this on November 28th, 2025. Usually this price level of coffee pot lasts us three or four years or even longer. I'm very disappointed with this product. Guess I'll have to go back to the Black and Decker version. I will be contacting the company directly.

    You can turn the heat plate back on!

    After reading the reviews, I was worried about the 2 hour heat plate shutoff but if you click the "BREW NOW" button it turns back on! Great little no-frills coffee maker. We got this one to replace our more expensive coffee maker.

    Mr. Coffee

    Online description is incorrect. This model has only a 2-hour automatic shutoff but is advertised online as having a 4-hour automatic shutoff. Please fix the online description to match actual product. Had to return and buy the correct model somewhere else where the advertisement was correct.
