BLACK+DECKER 4-Slice Toaster, TR1478BD, Extra Wide Slots, 7 Shade Settings, 1400 Watts, Frozen and Bagel Buttons

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had it for a LONG time, close to ten years, I believe. First thing to go was the bagel button, less than a year, followed by the frozen button, same time(ish). After these features went the decline of this toaster is almost unmeasurable. STILL a good toaster! only takes, with an adjustment to the timer, 2-3 minutes longer to get the same result.

After 4 months from purchase, it started to spark and smoke.

This toaster is the second product we bought from Black & Decker!

Have only had the toaster a couple days, but so far we are very happy with it. Toast is done evenly. Bagels we very evenly done. We are very happy with this purchase.

Previously I had a bought a Cuisinart toaster. I returned it because it absolutely would not brown evenly on both sides. I bought this Black & Decker. So far it is great. Browns evenly. Sometimes you have to adjust any toaster due to the type of bread you're using. The only drawback I see is that when you push the bagel or defrost button it doesn't light up. Really not a big deal as everything else is good.

I bought this as our one finally had to be retired. I am very happy with our purchase,this unit does a good job of toasting bread,it is fairly quick and the controls are easy to use

It toasted my bagels and english muffin just as well since the slots are wide enough. Simple yet perfect. Definitely recommend!

It took a good while for it to heat up, and even then not all the coils got hot, until I turned it up all the way. But the “coils” didn’t all light up like they should, it is a new toaster after all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toaster works as it should. It is a 4 slice toaster that quickly toasts your bread. It has the settings most toasters has. It is easy to clean up after every use. Its is a nice size and can easily fit on any counter top.

Great features. I bought this lightweight toaster to replace an old Black & Decker toaster that lasted over 10 years. The bagel feature is a nice bonus. Nice that Black & Decker backs the warranty for 2 years. That is what sold me on this particular product in addition to the reasonable price.

I just bought this toaster and used it once to toast bagels. So far I like it.

It has a bagel setting with extra wide slots so no squished bagels, a frozen setting to give frozen bread and waffles the extra time they need to get toasted, and a quick cancel button. Breakfast just got a little bit easier.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I only had a 2 slice toaster but usually need to toast 4 things at once for my partner and I; so I decided to get this 4 slice toaster and I am so glad I did. There are 2 features for this toaster that I didn't realize it had when I first chose it. The first thing is that it has a frozen button for when you need to toast something that is frozen and second, it has a bagel button. I think both of those things are very helpful and will definitely get a decent amount of use. This toaster works amazingly well as long as you don't turn the toasting level up too high to where you might burn your stuff. I really do love this and wonder why I never got a 4 slice toaster sooner. Everyone should own one of these; especially if you like to eat toaster, toast bagels, toast English muffins, etc...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got this Black and Decker 4 slice toaster, to replace my two slice toaster. As a family of 6, I figured it would save us some time. My first thoughts were, it was lightweight, simple and also stylish... There are 7 shade settings and 3 one touch buttons. Those include, bagel, cancel and frozen. It has wide slots, with self adjusting guides, which can make it perfect for toasting, just about anything. When I first used the toaster, it had an awful smell of melting plastic, but the smell eventually went away. Unfortunately the smell wasn't my only issue. As much as I'd like to say I found the perfect toaster, I can't... I have used it multiple times and have realized, there is Not a perfect setting for toast, because it doesn't toast evenly and it does Not cook frozen food thoroughly, without overcooking the outer layer. I honestly wish it worked as great as it looks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best toaster I have gotten by far. It's supper light weight for a four slicer. Very easy to clean and supper fast. I especially like the frozen option. Used it with a frozen bun completely dolled it out and didn't burn it.

I’m only a one person house hold but I do tend to make 3 toasts at the same time so to be able to do that all at one time is great! There’s 7 toast setting as well as extra wide slots to fit bagels. You’re also able to pull up the lifts higher than normal which is nice so you don’t burn your fingers when trying to get the toast out! Highly recommend.
