This coffee maker does everything I want it to do grinds the beans and can do single cup or carafe. Unfortunately due to a design flaw it leaks from the water carafe.

Love this coffee maker!

Cleaning and maintaining is quick and easy! This is a huge improvement over my last bean grinding coffee maker.

Brand new and still evaluating

Beautiful presentation and it seems to be working well so far. Experiencing learning curve to get the settings using different beans, suited to my taste. I haven’t gotten it right, yet. I haven’t experienced difficulty cleaning or leaking which are widely experienced by many according to the reviews I’ve read, but waiting to see how it works over time

Save your money

First one worked for just under a year and then started spitting water out of the back. Got it replaced in July under the warranty but the today, beginning of October, after making the first round of morning coffee it stopped pulling any water through. Called GE but there is nothing they can do to since it has been more than 1 year since the original one was purchased, even though the replacement they sent is 3 months old! Save your money and buy a cheaper coffee maker since you will likely be replacing this one.

I utilize 1:15 ratio of water to beans. The machine always asks me to add water. A minor irritation but I do not know how to accept my judgement.

Good machine, not the absolute best, but good!

Would also like to be able to adjust the amount of beans that are ground for a pot of coffee, this option is not available and I feel like it grinds more than as needed. Otherwise, the coffee taste great in the machine looks nice on the countertop and it’s easy to use

Stopped working less than one year

I have had this coffee maker for less than one year. The grinder completely stopped working. I’ve disassembled it twice and cleaned it every which way I can. Still will not work. I do not recommend this to anyone. You will be wasting your money.

Grind volume

Machine, (it’s only been 2 days) makes great coffee and is easy to set up and use. I wish there was a way to control the volume of coffee grinds, as my basket was over full on the second pot, yes, I emptied it between pots. Otherwise, the machine is very visually, appealing, and so far functionally awesome

Messy

I wish I would have read other reviews before I purchased this model. This model is taller and does NOT fit under an average kitchen cabinet. Also, makes a watery mess every time I open the compartment to add coffee grinds which leaks onto my countertop. Coffee will leak out from the last brew every time, regardless of how many hours have past. The grind is very loud. The buttons are sensitive to touch. You must wait for the entire brew before trying to get a cup of coffee. Unit will continue to leak when you remove the carafe or or mug, making another mess on the unit itself. We have already had a unit replaced as water was leaking from underneath the maker onto the counter. Warranty held their promise though and replaced, however still sames issues. MESSY everytime.

We'd like to help out with the leaking you are noticing with your coffee maker. We recommend checking to make sure that the water tank is placed all the way down and secure. You can push down to ensure a tight connection. Make sure the carafe is properly in place and the top of the carafe is in contact with the brew basket. Water Reservoir failure

Purchased through Cafe 2 plus years ago. The water reservoir discharges water over the counter. This happened a few times early on. I attributed it to the way I seated the full container back on the maker after filling. But no matter what I do, it would occasionally discharge. I chalked it up to user error. This week it emptied water over the counter 3 times. The gasket was replaced after the first failure. Hence, I am reduced to adding little water each time a cup of coffee is made or not use at all. I have checked the manual/trouble shooting tips makes no reference to this problem. For the price of this appliance, I am stunned at that this is a continuing problem. Awaiting a response from Service. But I cannot recommend this coffee maker unless you want to continually be wiping up water. Buyer beware

Not going back to pods!

I have been using this GE Cafe grind and brew coffee maker for over one month now. It’s got a designer appearance (bought the SS). I wanted to get away from using a coffee maker that uses pods due to environmental reasons and I wanted better tasting coffee. This coffee maker accomplishes both. It works as advertised, is easy to use and clean. Coffee stays hot in the carafe for a couple hours (note: I preheat the pot using hot water from my instant hot). I haven’t used the single brew but once. Next time I do a single I will try it on the bold setting as I didn’t think the gold setting was strong enough for that. I do use the gold setting for a pot and it tastes great. Overall, no complaints whatsoever 😘

Perfect coffee!

Loving the machine, seems sturdy enough to work for years. The only gripe I had was the silly flimsy plastic guides for the carafe top - instead of a solid button, it has tiny u-shapes that broke the first day, fell into the carafe and ended up in my mouth. It was cheerfully replaced by the company & received right away, so no harm done, but it's a design flaw that could result in someone swallowing the plastic pieces. Beef up that vital area & I would rate the entire unit 5 stars!

Great coffee maker, but cleaning is a chore!

The design of this appliance is pretty stunning and gets great compliments from visitors to our home. It makes great coffee and using the app to start the coffee maker from bed is a godsend on most days. The large reservoir ensures I only need to fill it once ever other day and adds to the convenience of the coffee maker. Now the not so good, cleaning after each use can be challenging. The filter basket is fairly easy to clean. The screw on lid is a chore as a lot of water gets trapped in the lid, so you spend a minute or two shaking all the water out of it. The carafe has a lip where the plastic top is attached to the stainless pot. Water, coffee and dishwashing soap get trapped in that are so extra care is needed to ensure a good clean rinse. There is a small part that attaches to the machine and keeps water from the drip and the coffee grounds separated. This needs to be removed and cleaned at least every other use. Otherwise you will have a bunch of old coffee grounds stuck to it. The filter basket snaps into place on the machine with two small plastic tabs. Needless to say one of the tabs broke off in the first 30-days of use. It still works with one tab intact fortunately.

Best Coffeemaker owned in 40 years!

Best coffeemaker I have ever owned! Love the carbon filters and ease of replacement. I use only Zero Fiktered water ( no dissolved solids). The app makes things so easy!! I usually set at 4 or 6 cups ( set as favorites). The only thing is if your kitchen is cold the carafe is cold and has a cooling effect on coffee temp. You can preheat w hot water if that is a big deal. But it’s better than burning coffee! You can nuke for 30 seconds if u don’t think hot enough. I generally don’t mind. Flavor is great! Cleaning is easy. Using timer is a gem! Grinds and heats really incredibly fast! Would recommend! The coffeemaker and carafe is extremely well made! The carafe is very solid! Again highly recommend !

Fabulous

Love the look and function of the Grind and Brew .... the included brush remedies any issue ... as it does get clogged at times when grinding .... Wish I could create a stronger coffee .... but got past that by adding a scoop of pre ground beans in the basket previous to brewing ....
