Just bought this grinder went to use for first time and it won't turn on

Life without my own coffee grinder is a sad place. I don't care what anyone else says I can taste the difference between freshly ground coffee and pre ground coffee and I am grateful for my new grinder works perfectly.

It really grinds up fine (which I use). I especially love the larger chamber.

Please make the plastic cover more durable or give extra one as they break easily

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a custom grinder to try out and review. The instructions were very easy to understand, and the machine was very easy to use. For coffee beans, I found the medium setting to be best after putting in the amount of beans needed for the amount of cups to be made. The settings were easy to adjust. For the coffee beans, I pushed the on-off button, and the machine stopped by itself. I also used it for chopping pecans and used the course setting. I stopped the grinder after 3 seconds; that seemed to work for the nuts so they would come out in small pieces instead of a powder. I would recommend it for it being easy to use.

Regardless of the price, they will never out last this grinder. Several different settings so you can grind like you like. Easiest grinder I have ever used. This will easily be in our household for many years to come.

Provides a number of blend setting for both coffee beans and spices. Safety built into the design can't be exposed to blade when spinning. Section with ground coffee lifts out for easy use to transfer of coffee into filter. Cleaning brush included and attaches to back. Best feature is press button and let go , grinder stops when beans are done.

This little machine has a stainless steel grinding bowl to put your beans in. it’s dishwasher safe. You have three settings on this grinder course, medium, and fine. You choose what level you like also, you can choose the cups of coffee you would like to make. There’s 14/12/8/4 located at the bottom of the machine, it shows every level, it Grinds the coffee fast, and the aroma from the fresh beans are amazing. You can use this to grind nuts, seeds & spices too. Love that it grinds hands-free & stops automatically when it's finished.

Fast and ferious is the best way to describe this lttle thing. Those beans were really moving. Not one bean was missed.

I had an earlier version of this Model 80393 for a couple of years and loved it. Needed replacing so bought this newer model. Love it, except that the cover is too tight and ended up breaking after a month. The other one had a lighter cover, but it was definitely more durable than this model.

All you do is select your settings, push the button, and when it is complete, it shuts off automatically. This makes it easy to get ready for the day and have fresh ground coffee every day. The grinding bowl is removable and dishwasher safe too, which makes it even easier to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hamilton Beach custom grind coffee grinder is a very solid low-frills coffee grinder. Its small size and convenient cord storage are great for reducing the overall footprint, making it particularly good for smaller spaces. The various grind settings have been working very well so far giving a good level of consistency of the grounds, and the grinder is quieter than I expected which was a pleasant surprise. The ability to grind various cup amounts and the presence of internal measurement lines within the grinding chamber is convenient to help eliminate some of the guessing for the amount of grounds that will be needed for brewing. I did find that the grounds stuck quite a bit to the bottom of the chamber and below the blade, but the included brush helped remove the coffee relatively easily and cleanup is quite simple. Overall, it's a great compact coffee grinder.

The grinder is a great size, fits perfectly in the hand and would be great for travel if you like fresh ground coffee without the price. I like that it has the Coarse/Fine options and it grinds it to perfection without any trouble. The removable grinding cup for cleaning is a brilliant idea!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was happy to receive the Hamilton Beach Custom Grind Coffee Grinder for reviewing purposes. I can easily say, this is the best coffee grinder I've ever owned. It's solid. It's a heavy piece made with quality materials. I love the stainless grinding chamber, which is removable for easy cleaning. And the hidden cord storage is a must for me. You can customize the grind to coarse, medium or fine and to the number of cups you're brewing. It grinds to perfection with one push of a button. I just love it! There are two things I would improve: The selection indicator on the grind setting dial could be more obvious. It's rather small and because of that, it looks like the line on the on/off button is the indicator. Also, the measuring lines inside the grinding chamber don't face forward, even if you take it out and turn it around. So, to fill it, you have to turn it backwards (with the cord facing you) or remove the grinder chamber entirely, fill it and place it back in the unit. But those are such minimal design flaws, overall. It's a really great grinder and I highly recommend it. Thank you for the opportunity.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For years I was reluctant to buy a coffee grinder mainly because I didn’t want to add more steps to something as simple as brewing coffee. Then I found the joy of cold brew. In the beginning I experimented with ground coffee but it was too fine for the brewing filter and seeped into the water. Coffee silt sat on the bottom of the carafe. Not appetizing. It also meant I needed to strain the finished product. Brewing cold brew is supposed to be easy and mostly hands-off. It became apparent that I would have to give in and grind my own coffee. Enter the Hamilton Beach 10oz Electric Coffee Grinder! This simple, quick and easy to clean grinder is perfect for my needs (and for a coffee snob family member who paid to have their beans ground when they bought the latest boutique coffee). Though not recommended, it’s so easy to figure out how to use it that you don’t need the instruction manual to use it. (Again: not recommended! Read the instructions!) The base pops up to reveal the power cord wrapped around the machine nicely. Not too tight, not too loose. Perfect. Unwrap the cord, use the notch to hold it in place and push down on the grinder to close the base back onto the body. The stainless steel grinding chamber has markings inside to indicate the amount of coffee beans to add in relation to the number of cup you’re brewing. For my cold brew recipe I fill it to 14 cups, the maximum amount it holds. Place the protective lid over the chamber and twist to lock it in place. The lid has an arrow printed on the rear to align with a corresponding mark on the rear of the grinder. Be sure it’s on properly and locked. On the front of the grinder are the ON/OFF button and the dial to set the desired grind (coarse/medium/fine). For cold brew a coarse grind is optimal. Below the dial is the adjustment for the number of cups you’re going to brew. Slide it up/down to the proper setting. If you’re satisfied with the settings it’s time to plug the power cord into an outlet. The ON/OFF button is in the center of the dial that is used to set the desired grind of the beans. Press it once and be amazed. Based upon the settings, the grinder will make quick work of the task and turn off automatically. Don’t walk away—it’s a quick process. Once it stops, unplug the power cord. Twist the protective lid off to first enjoy the aroma of freshly ground coffee, then get brewing. The chamber is locked into the machine. Turn it counterclockwise to remove it and do your thing to get that stuff brewing! Cleaning up is easy enough. Use warm water and a dish cloth with dish detergent. Take care to not cut yourself on the steel blades on the bottom of the chamber and/or bend them. Rinse completely and carefully dry it with a dish towel. In order to completely dry it, shake it a couple of times to get the water under the blades. You’ll have to repeat that until you’re satisfied it’s done. I let the chamber air dry after this to be sure there isn’t any moisture left. Don’t forget to wash the protective lid! Pop the base open and wrap the power cord around it. I like the simplicity of use and the results of the grinding. For my own purposes, I pour in beans to 14 cups line but adjust the number of cups to the lowest number. Cold brew requires coarsely ground beans and I find with this adjustment I get what I believe is the right grind for my brewer. Other than having to make that adjustment (it’s a personal preference, not an issue with the grinder) I’m very satisfied with the performance of the coffee grinder.

Grinds coffee beans up very good, Compact unit is easy to store when not in use. Would recommend this product for anyone that likes to grind their own beans. Very well made unit & is very easy to clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased a bag of beans prior to this arriving looking forward to grinding my beans. This little machine grinds beans smoothly and efficiently. You select how much your pour in, how fine you want them to be, and press the button. There is a timer set for all the functions, so you don't have to sit and wonder if the beans are ready. The only down side is that the machine can be pretty loud, but its only for a few seconds. I wouldn't recommend starting this up first thing in the morning. Unfortunately, I have not tried this for grinding spices, but i trust that it would be fine.

This works well for both small amounts of coffee or small amounts of spices. I leave it on my counter 24\7. Its a very powerful grinder that you will probably use daily. Be sure to wipe out the grinder between uses so that you don't get each taste.
